Anwendungen
Das MM 1 wurde zum Einmessen von ELA- und
PA-Anlagen entwickelt. In Verbindung mit einem
Spektrum-Analyser können neben Frequenzgang -
messungen auch die Schall druck pegel von Laut sprechern
überwacht werden. Das kleine Gehäuse ermöglicht dabei
eine unauffällige Anbrin gung des Mikrofons.
Dank des schlanken Gehäuses mit der abgesetzten
Mikrofon kapsel ist der Einfluss auf das Schallfeld sehr
gering, so dass ein Druckstau bei hohen Fre quenzen
weitgehend vermieden wird. Die Übertragungscharak-
teristik ist so gewählt, dass bei diffusem Schalleinfall
ein exakt linearer Frequenz gang erreicht wird.
Inbetriebnahme und Aufstellung
Das MM 1 kann an jeden
Mikrofoneingang mit einer
Phantomspeisung zwischen
12 - 48 V ange schloss en wer-
den. Zum An schluss dient ein
Standard-XLR-Kabel.
Achten Sie bei der Aufstellung
des MM 1 darauf, dass sich in
unmittelbarer Nähe des Mikro-
fons keine größeren Gegen-
stände be finden, welche das
Schall feld beeinflussen könnten.
Bei Frequenzen oberhalb von 10 kHz macht sich trotz
des schlanken Gehäuses bei direktem Schalleinfall von
vorne ein geringer Druckstau bemerkbar. Dies führt zu
einer Anhebung von maximal 3 dB bei 20 kHz. Bei
tieferen Frequenzen ist die Richt charakteristik exakt
kugelförmig.
Bei Messungen an Lautsprechern und anderen Schall-
quellen mit einem hohen Direktschallanteil sollten Sie das
MM 1 deshalb so auf stellen, dass die Mikrofon achse um
90° zur Schallquelle steht. Dadurch wird auch bei Fre -
quenzen oberhalb 10 kHz eine exakt lineare Wieder gabe
erzielt.

phone. Please take some time to read carefully through
this product information before setting up the equip-
ment.
Applications
The MM 1 is used for measuring sound reinforcement
and PA-systems. It is ideal for spectrum analysers
allowing frequency response and sound pressure levels
of speakers to be monitored. Due to its small casing it can
be mounted unobtrusively.
The slim line casing and remote mounting of the micro-
phone capsule means the influence on the sound field
is very low and an increase in sound pressure is avoided
with high frequencies. An exact linear frequency
response is achieved in diffuse sound receptions.
Setting up and Mounting
Using a standard XLR cable,
the MM 1 can be connected
to microphone inputs
supplying 12 - 48 volts
phantom power.
When mounting the MM 1,
make sure that there are
not any large objects close
to the microphone, as they
could influence the sound
field.
With frequencies above 10 kHz a slight pressure build-
up occurs when the sound is received directly from the
front. This causes a maximum increase of 3 dB at
20 kHz. With lower frequencies the polar pattern is
exactly omnidirectional.
Therefore, when measuring loud- speakers and other sound
sources
with a high content of direct sound the MM 1 has
to be placed in a 90° position to the
sound
source. This
allows you to receive
an absolutely linear reproduction
in
frequencies above 10 kHz.
Maintenance
In the unlikely event of equipment failure, the micro-
phone should be returned to your beyerdynamic dealer.
Unauthorised dismantling of the microphone will
invalidate the guarantee.

Applications
Le MM 1 a été conçu pour le calibrage des systèmes
audio/ électroacoustiques. Branché sur un analyseur de
spectre acoustique, il permet de mesurer la courbe de
fréquence du système et de contrôler le niveau sonore
SPL de ses enceintes. Grâce à son boîtier compact il
peut être installé de façon discrète.
Le corps élancé avec la capsule à distance minimise
l’influence sur le
champs acoustique, afin d’éviter largement
la compression acoustique
dans les aigus. La caractéris-
tique de transmission du microphone a été choisie de façon
à ce qu’une courbe de fréquence précisément linéaire soit
obtenue même si le son arrive de façon diffusée.
Mise en marche et positionnement
Veuillez utiliser un câble XLR
standard pour brancher le
MM 1 sur n’importe qu’elle
entrée de microphone four-

de 90°, afin d’ob tenir la reproduction
exactement linéaire des aigus à partir de 10 kHz.
