The set-up of the camera cannot only be
achieved via the OSD but also remotely by RS-
485 connection. It is possible to change the set-
up from a PC through the RS-485 connection
after installation, even if, the camera is installed,
at height or at a long distance from the control
centre.
Manual/Variable Electronic Shutter
The ICD-48E/ICD-48 has 9 steps of manual electronic shutter from 1/50
(EIA 1/60) to 1/100,000 seconds. It also has, a variable shutter function
which can change its shutter speed within its range from 1/50 (EIA: 1/60)
to 1/100,000.
BLC (Back Light Compensation) function
An intelligent BLC function gives appropriate brightness, even if there is a
high bright back light illumination of subjects in the viewed scene.
Other Standard Functions
AES (Automatic Electronic Shutter), Two-Way Auto Iris control (VIDEO Iris
and DC Iris), Line Lock/Internal Lock and AGC (Automatic Gain Control).

OSD Set-Up Items
The ICD-48E/ICD-48 is a 1/2"CCD Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Monochrome Camera,
with High Sensitivity (0.0075 lux at F1.2) and High Resolution (Horizontal Resolution 560TV lines[CCIR]/
570 TV lines[EIA]). It is extremely Infra-Red sensitive giving the best performance in its class
when used in conjunction with Infra-Red lighting (800nm to 1000nm approx).
It has a remote set-up capability via RS-485 to allow set-up alterations even after installation.

High Sensitivity
With its high sensitivity of 0.0075 lux at F1.2 the ICD-48E/48 has a near
black Infra-red sensitivity (800nm to 1000nm approx), which is about five
times higher than it’s predecessors, the award winning ICD-42E and ICD-
47E. This makes it ideal for outdoor surveillance when round the clock
performance is required.
High Resolution and High Quality Picture Performance
The camera delivers a high horizontal resolution of more than 560 TV lines
(CCIR)/570 TV lines (EIA) and realises a high quality picture with a Signal
to Noise ratio more than 50dB.
Low Smear Level
A near natural image is delivered, due to the low smear performance of
-120dB, even in difficult high bright situations like those of direct car
headlights.
