PA Wall and Ceiling Speaker
These instructions are intended for installers
with sufficient knowledge of 100 V technology
for PA applications. Please read the instructions
carefully prior to installation and keep them for
later reference.
1 Applications
These wall and ceiling speakers for flush mounting
are specially designed for PA systems using 100 V
technology. A plastic tray for flush mounting is sup-
plied with the speaker.
2 Important Notes
The speaker corresponds to all relevant directives of
the EU and is therefore marked with .
•
The speaker is suitable for indoor use only. Protect
it against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).
•
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
chemicals or water.
•
No guarantee claims for the speaker and no liabil-
ity for any resulting personal damage or material
dam age will be accepted if the speaker is used
for other purposes than originally intended, if it
is not correctly installed or connected, or if it is
overloaded.
If the speaker is to be put out of oper-
ation definitively, dispose of the speaker in
accordance with local regulations.
3 Installation
WARNING During operation, there is a hazard
of contact with a dangerous voltage
of up to 100 V at the connection
cable. Installation must be carried
out by skilled personnel only.
Observe the load of the PA amplifier by the
speakers. Overload may damage the PA amplifier!
The total power of all speakers connected must not
exceed the amplifier power.
1) Drill a hole for the cable inlet at a suitable place
of the plastic tray and mount the tray flush into
a wall or ceiling cutout of the required size (see
specifications).
2) Release the screw at the protective grille and
remove the speaker from the white mounting
frame. Then tightly fasten the mounting frame to
the plastic tray using the four screws provided.
3) Before connecting the speaker, switch off the PA
system completely, so that the 100 V audio cable
from the PA amplifier will not carry any voltage!
4) Connect the speaker cable to the 100 V audio
cable of the PA amplifier: Connect the white con-
ductor and one of the other coloured conductors
which corresponds to the desired power rating
(volume) to the 100 V audio cable.

5) After connection, insert the speaker into the
mounting frame and fasten the screws.
6) When connecting several speakers, make sure
that all speakers have the same polarity.

ELA-Wand- und
Deckenlautsprecher
Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Installateure mit
Fachkenntnissen in der 100-V-Beschallungs-
technik. Bitte lesen Sie die Anleitung vor der
Installation gründlich durch und heben Sie sie
für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.
1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Diese Wand- und Deckenlautsprecher für die Unter-
putzmontage sind speziell für den Einsatz in Be-
schallungsanlagen konzipiert, die mit 100-V-Technik
arbeiten. Zum Lieferumfang gehört eine Kunststoff-
Unterputzschale.
2 Wichtige Hinweise
Der Lautsprecher entspricht allen relevanten Richt-
linien der EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.
•
Der Lautsprecher ist nur zur Verwendung im In-
nenbereich geeignet. Schützen Sie ihn vor Tropf-
und Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
•
Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trocke-
nes, weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien
oder Wasser.
•
Wird der Lautsprecher zweckentfremdet, nicht
fachgerecht montiert, falsch angeschlossen oder
überlastet, kann keine Haftung für daraus resultie-
rende Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine Ga-
rantie für den Lautsprecher übernommen werden.
Soll der Lautsprecher endgültig aus dem
Betrieb genommen werden, entsorgen Sie
ihn gemäß den örtlichen Vorschriften.
3 Installation
WARNUNG Im Betrieb liegt berührungsgefähr-
liche Spannung bis 100 V an der
Anschlussleitung an. Die Installa-
tion darf nur durch Fachpersonal
erfolgen.
Achten Sie auf die Belastung des ELA-Verstärkers
durch die Lautsprecher. Eine Überlastung kann den
Verstärker beschädigen! Die Summe der Leistun-
gen aller angeschlossenen Lautsprecher darf die
Verstärkerleistung nicht überschreiten.
1) In die Kunststoff-Unterputzschale an geeigneter
Stelle ein Loch für die Kabeldurchführung bohren
und die Kunststoff-Unterputzschale in einen ent-
sprechend großen Wand- oder Deckenausschnitt
einputzen (siehe technische Daten).
2) -Die Schraube am Schutzgitter lösen und den Laut
sprecher aus dem weißen Montagerahmen ent-
fernen. Anschließend den Montagerahmen mit
den vier mitgelieferten Schrauben an der Kunst-
stoff-Unterputzschale festschrauben.
3) Vor dem Anschluss des Lautsprechers die ELA-An-
lage komplett ausschalten, damit die 100-V-Audio-
leitung vom ELA-Verstärker spannungsfrei ist!
4) Die Leitung des Lautsprechers an die 100-V-
Audioleitung vom ELA-Verstärker anschließen: Die
weiße Ader und eine der anderen farbigen Adern,
die der gewünschten Nennbelastung (Lautstärke)
entspricht, mit der 100-V-Audioleitung verbinden.

5) -Den angeschlossenen Lautsprecher in den Monta
gerahmen einsetzen und festschrauben.
6) Beim Anschluss von mehreren Lautsprechern
darauf achten, dass die Lautsprecher alle gleich
gepolt werden.
