Your Salter Scale is a quality item which for best results should be used in the following way:
1. Use on a firm flat surface.
2. Set scale to zero using the serrated wheel.
3. Always weigh at the same time each day, without clothes or any footwear.
4. Stand as still as possible with feet evenly spaced on the scale.
5. To clean, only use a damp cloth. NEVER use chemicals or abrasives.
6. For maximum durability, keep scale dry and avoid direct heat or sunlight.
This product is intended for domestic use only. Salter Housewares Ltd will repair or
replace this product, or any part of this product, free of charge if within ten years from
the date of purchase, it can be shown to have failed through defective workmanship or
materials.This guarantee covers working parts that affect the function of the scale. It
excludes cosmetic deterioration caused by fair wear and tear (including natural ageing
of wood). Opening or taking apart the scale or its components will void the guarantee.
Claims under guarantee must be supported by proof of purchase and be returned
carriage paid to Salter Housewares Ltd (or local Salter appointed agent if outside the
UK). Care should be taken in packing the scale so that it is not damaged whilst in transit.
This undertaking is in addition to the consumer’s statutory rights and does not affect
those rights in any way.
