Tuning: Before recording adrum kit, make sure thedrums are tuned. A well-

tuned kit significantlyimprovesthe sound quality for recordingandlive sound

reinforcement. It also makesmixing and signal processing easier, faster, and

more effective.

Placement: Use the proximity effect to your advantagewhen increased bass

is desired. Smallchanges in microphoneplacement (distance andangle)

strongly impact thesound characteristics. If timepermits, experiment with

various microphone positionsto achieve thepreferred sound.
