INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
· Adjustment: The S1270 is constructed with a pivoting, cast
iron base. Loosen the wing nut connecting the base to the
horn and remove the base.
With a screwdriver, loosen the screw on the back of the
speaker if you wish to rotate the horn between vertical and
horizontal positions. Tighten the screw securely when the
desired position is reached.
· Base: The base contains 3 holes for screws (not included).
Use screws with greater than 1/4” diameter head to ensure
safe installation. Screw the base to the mounting surface
where you wish to install horn.
Reattach the horn to the base, rotate the horn to your de-
sired angle and tighten the wing nut securely.
· Wiring: To aid weatherproofing, the wire connections are
sealed internally, and accessible through a 20” lead.
Connect the White (positive) and Black (negative/ground)
wires to the corresponding 8 ohm outputs on your amplifier.
· If you wish to use the tamper loop functionality, connect the
Red and Green wires to the appropriate circuit in your alarm
system. If the circuit is broken, an alarm can be triggered.
This is normally closed (NC) circuit
