Introduction:

This blood pressure monitor complies with the Eu-

ropeanrequirements thatare the basisof theMe-

dical ProductsLaw(CE), as well asthe European

Standard „Europanorm” EN 1060,Part1 „Non-

I nvasive blood pressure monitoring devices –

Generalrequirements”andpart2 „Additional

requirementsformechanical blood pressuremoni-

toring devices“.

Regularcalibration is to be carried out in accor-

dancewith theregulationsexistingin yourcountry.

Important:

Keep thisunit frombeingknocked or dropped,and

protectitfromdirtandmoisture. Carehastobe

taken not topuncture thecuff withany sharp

instruments(Scissors, needles).

Do notinflate toabove300 mmHg!

M easurement timeshouldnotexceed 2minutes.

B etween 2measurements allow an interval of at

least2 minutes.

Placing theCuff:

Ensure the lower cuffedge finishesapprox.2– 3

cm above the elbow,the membrane inside the cuff

mustbe placed on themain artery.

Taking theBlood Pressure:

Inflatethe cuff toabovethe systolicpressure.The

air releasespeed canbeadjustedby rotatingthe

valve screw.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) recom-

mends a deflationspeed of 2–3 mmHgper

second.

Afterthe measurementiscompleted,fully open the

ai releasevalve to allow forthefast deflationof

the cuff.
