Battery precautions
1. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
2. Use only alkaline AA batteries of the same or equivalent type.
3. Insert batteries with the correct polarity
4. Keep batteries away from children.
5. Dispose of exhausted batteries according to local legal requirements.
Do not dispose of them by throwing away with normal household
rubbish.
6. Avoid short circuiting the contacts in the battery compartment and
battery terminals.
7. Remove batteries from the unit if it will not be used for a long period
of time.
8. Exhausted batteries should be removed from the battery
compartment to prevent over-discharging, which can cause leakage
and may cause damage to the clock.
Battery installation
1. Insert 1xAA (1.5V) battery observing the correct polarity, as shown on
the diagram.
2. Replace battery cover.
Radio controlled operation DCF version
(Germany & European countries)
The Braun Quadrondo is set and controlled automatically by DCF radio
signal. The DCF radio time code signal is broadcast from Frankfurt,
Germany. The coverage of the DCF signal is the whole of Germany. The
time code signal can be received up to 1500km from Frankfurt. This covers
most of Central and Western Europe.
Radio controlled clock operation
1. Once the battery is installed properly, the clock automatically sets
itself to 12 o’clock and then begins receiving the signal. Once it has
received the DCF signal and processed it accordingly (which takes 3
to maximum 12 minutes), the clock will automatically display the
correct time.
2. If the clock still has not set itself after 12 minutes, reception is faulty
or not possible at the chosen location. Repeat setting at a different
location by pressing the RESET button.
A time check is carried out during every odd hour and the time is compared
with the radio signal and will be corrected if necessary. Each time it will
take 3 -12 minutes to receive the radio signal.
Manual time setting
1. Press and hold the TIME SET button for 3 - 4 seconds to enter the
time setting.
2. Press the TIME SET button for 1 second to advance 1 minute, or
3. Press and hold the TIME SET button for more than 2 seconds to
speed up the time setting to the desired time.
4. If the TIME SET button is not pressed for 8 seconds, the clock is set.
Important: Once the desired time is set manually, the clock will correct
itself to a Radio Controlled time once a valid signal is received.
Alarm setting
To set the alarm follow below procedures:
1. Press the ALARM SET knob located at the back of the clock, the
rotating switch will pull outwards.
2. Turn the knob in the direction of the arrow until desired alarm time
is shown, only turn in the direction of the arrow to avoid damaging the
movement.
3. Press the ALARM TAB located on the top to activate the alarm, green
bar will be shown at the front.
4. Press back the ALARM SET knob located at the back of the clock.
Alarm / snooze function
When the alarm time is reached, the alarm will sound for a maximum of
2 minutes if the ALARM is ON and the SNOOZE / LIGHT button is not
pressed. It is reactivated 12 hours later at the same time. Press the alarm
tab on the top to stop the alarm. The SNOOZE / LIGHT button is located
at the bottom of the clock housing and can be activated when pressing on
the clock body downwards. To activate the snooze function again press
the clock body downwards and the alarm will stop with light turns on for 5
seconds and resumes after approximate 5 minutes interval. The snooze
function can be repeated 3 – 7 times.
Illumination
1. To be able to read the face of your alarm clock when it is dark,
brieypressonthetopofthealarmclocktoactivatethe
SNOOZE/LIGHT button at the bottom.
2. The illumination function is activated for 5 seconds.
Reset function
The clock has a hands setting help function. By pressing the reset button
at any time, the hands will automatically move to the 12 o’clock position
and then receive signal.
Note: Pressing the SNOOZE/LIGHT button while the clock is being reset
to 12 o’clock or while the clock is receiving Radio Control Signal can cause
interference with Radio Control reception.
Guarantee
2 year guarantee against material and workmanship defects (except
battery). The guarantee is valid in those countries where the alarm
clock is ofcially being sold.
Broken or cracked lens screens are not covered under the Guarantee.

Einlegen der Batterie
1. Legen Sie 1x AA (1,5 V) Batterie ein und achten Sie dabei auf
die richtige Polarität (siehe Abbildung).
2. Bringen Sie die Abdeckung wieder auf dem Batteriefach an.
Funkgesteuerter Betrieb mit DCF
(Deutschland & europäische Länder)
Der Braun Quadrondo wird automatisch über das DCF-Funksignal
eingestellt und gesteuert. Das DCF-Zeitzeichensignal stammt aus
Frankfurt, Deutschland. Das DCF-Signal deckt Deutschland vollständig
ab. Das Zeitzeichensignal kann bis zu 1500 km von Frankfurt entfernt
empfangen werden, und deckt so den größten Teil von Mittel- und
Westeuropa ab.
Betrieb des Funkweckers
1. Sobald die Batterie korrekt eingesetzt wurde, stellt sich die
Uhrzeit automatisch auf 12 Uhr ein und empfängt dann das
Signal. Sobald das DCF-Signal empfangen und entsprechend
verarbeitet wurde (was ca. 3 bis maximal 12 Minuten in
Anspruch nehmen wird), wird der Wecker automatisch die
korrekte Zeit anzeigen.
2. Wenn sich die Uhrzeit nach 12 Minuten noch immer nicht
eingestellt hat, dann ist der Empfang gestört oder am gewählten
Standort nicht möglich. Wiederholen Sie diesen Vorgang an
einem anderen Standort und drücken Sie den RESET-Knopf.
Die Zeit wird zu jeder ungeraden Stunde geprüft, mit dem Funksignal
verglichen und dann, falls nötig, korrigiert. Es dauert jedes Mal 3-12
Minuten, bis das Funksignal empfangen wurde.
Manuelle Zeiteinstellung
1. Halten Sie den TIME SET-Knopf für 3 bis 4 Sekunden gedrückt,
um zur Zeiteinstellung zu gelangen.
2. Drücken Sie den TIME SET-Knopf für eine Sekunde, um eine
Minute vorzustellen, oder
3. Halten Sie diesen für länger als 2 Sekunden gedrückt, um die
Einstellung schneller zu ändern.
4. Wenn der TIME SET-Knopf dann für 8 Sekunden nicht gedrückt
wird, wird die Uhrzeit eingestellt.
Wichtig: Nachdem die gewünschte Zeit eingestellt wurde, wird sich die
Uhrzeit selbst korrigieren, wenn ein gültiges Signal empfangen wurde.
Alarm einstellen
Um den Alarm einzustellen, befolgen Sie bitte die folgenden Schritte:
1. Drücken Sie auf den ALARM SET-Knopf, der sich hinten auf
demWeckerbendet.DerDrehschalterwirddannnachaußen
bewegt.
2. Drehen Sie den Knopf in Pfeilrichtung, bis die gewünschte
Uhrzeit angezeigt wird. Drehen Sie diesen nur in Pfeilrichtung,
um Schäden am Uhrwerk zu verhindern.
3. Drücken Sie ALARM TAB auf dem Wecker, um den Alarm zu
aktivieren. Der grüne Balken erscheint auf der Vorderseite.
4. Drücken Sie auf den ALARM SET-Knopf, der sich hinten auf dem
Weckerbendet.
Alarm-/Schlummerfunktion
Wenn die Alarmzeit erreicht wurde, wird der Alarm für maximal 2 Minuten
ertönen, wenn der ALARM auf ON geschaltet ist und der SNOOZE/LIGHT-
Knopf nicht gedrückt wird. Der Alarm wird alle 12 Stunden zur gleichen Zeit
neu aktiviert. Drücken Sie den Alarmknopf auf der Oben des Weckers, um
diesenzubeenden.DerSNOOZE/LIGHT-KnopfbendetsichamBoden
des Gehäuses und kann durch Drücken des Weckers nach unten aktiviert
werden. Um die Schlummerfunktion zu aktivieren, drücken Sie den Wecker
erneut nach unten und der Alarm wird unterbrochen, wobei das Licht für 5
Sekunden erleuchtet. Der Alarm wird dann alle 5 Minuten erneut ertönen.
Die Schlummerfunktion kann drei- bis siebenmal wiederholt werden.
Beleuchtung
1. Damit Sie die Zeit von Ihrem Wecker auch im Dunkeln ablesen
können, drücken Sie kurz auf den Wecker, um den SNOOZE
LIGHT-Knopf unter dem Wecker zu aktivieren.
2. Die Beleuchtung wird dann für 5 Sekunden aktiviert.
Zurücksetzen
Der Wecker besitzt eine Hilfsfunktion für die Zeigereinstellung. Wenn der
Reset-Knopf gedrückt wird, werden sich die Zeiger automatisch auf 12 Uhr
einstellen und dann das Signal empfangen.
Hinweis: Wenn Sie die Taste SNOOZE / LIGHT drücken, während die Uhr
auf 12 Uhr zurückgesetzt wird oder während die Uhr ein Funksteuersignal
empfängt, kann dies den Empfang der Funksteuerung beeinträchtigen.
Garantie
Es besteht eine 2-jährige Garantie auf Material- und
Verarbeitungsfehler (ausgenommen der Batterien). Die Garantie ist in
den Ländern gültig, in denen der Wecker ofziell verkauft wird.
Ein beschädigter oder gesprungener Displayschutz wird nicht von
der Garantie abgedeckt.

Précautions relatives aux piles
1. Ne pas utiliser de piles rechargeables.

Installation de la pile

Version DCF du fonctionnement radio-commandé
(Allemagne et pays européens)
Le Quadrondo de Braun se règle et est contrôlé automatiquement par
signal radio DCF. Le signal de code temporel DCF est diffusé depuis
Francfort en Allemagne. Ce signal DCF couvre toute l’Allemagne. Le
signal de code temporel peut être reçu jusqu’à 1 500 km de Francfort. Soit
une distance couvrant la plupart de l’Europe centrale et de l’ouest.
Fonctionnement du réveil radio-commandé
1. Une fois la batterie correctement mise en place, le réveil se règle
automatiquement sur 12 heures, puis commence à recevoir le signal.
Une fois qu’il reçoit et traite le signal DCF en conséquence (ce qui
prend3à12minutesaumaximum),leréveilafche
automatiquement l’heure correcte.
2. Si le réveil ne s’est toujours réglé au bout de 12 minutes, la réception
est défectueuse ou impossible à l’endroit choisi. Répétez le réglage à
un autre endroit en appuyant sur le bouton RESET (Réinitialisation).
Un contrôle du temps est effectué à chaque heure impaire et l’heure est
comparée au signal radio et corrigé si nécessaire. Il faut compter chaque
fois 3 à 12 minutes pour recevoir le signal radio.
Réglage manuel de l’heure
1. Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le bouton TIME SET (Réglage de
l’heure) pendant 3 à 4 secondes pour accéder au réglage de l’heure.
2. Appuyez sur le bouton TIME SET (Réglage de l’heure) pendant 1
seconde pour avancer d’une minute, ou
3. Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le bouton TIME SET (Réglage de
l’heure) pendant plus de 2 secondes pour accélérer le réglage de
l’heure jusqu’à l’heure souhaitée.
4. Si le bouton TIME SET (Réglage de l’heure) n’est pas appuyé
pendant 8 secondes, le réveil est réglé.
Important: Une fois l’heure souhaitée réglée manuellement, le réveil se
règle automatiquement sur l’heure radio-commandée dès qu’un signal
valide est reçu.
Réglage de l’alarme
Pour régler l’alarme, suivez les instructions ci-dessous :
1. Appuyez sur le bouton ALARM SET (Réglage de l’alarme) situé à
l’arrière du réveil ; le bouton rotatif est tiré vers l’extérieur.
2. Tournezleboutondanslesensdelaèchejusqu’àcequel’heurede
l’alarmesouhaitées’afchent.Tournezuniquementdanslesensde
laècheand’éviterd’endommagersonmouvement.
3. Appuyez sur ALARM TAB (Onglet de l’alarme) situé sur le dessus
pouractiverl’alarme.Unebarrevertes’afchesurledevant.
4. Appuyez sur le bouton ALARM SET (Réglage de l’alarme) situé à
l’arrière du réveil.
Fonction alarme/snooze
Lorsque l’heure de l’alarme arrive, l’alarme retentit pendant 2 minutes au
maximum si l’ALARME est activée (ON) et le bouton SNOOZE/LIGHT
(Snooze/Lumière) n’est pas enfoncé. Elle est réactivée 12 heures plus
tard à la même heure. Appuyez sur l’onglet Alarme à l’haut pour arrêter
l’alarme. Le bouton SNOOZE/LIGHT (Snooze/Lumière) est situé à l’arrière
du boîtier du réveil et peut être activé en appuyant sur le boîtier du réveil
vers le bas. Pour activer à nouveau la fonction snooze, appuyez sur le
boîtier du réveil vers le bas. L’alarme s’arrête alors avec la lumière allumée
pendant 5 secondes, puis reprend après un intervalle d’environ 5 minutes.
La fonction snooze peut être répétée 3 à 7 fois.
Éclairage
1. Pour lire l’écran de votre réveil dans le noir, appuyez brièvement sur
le dessus du réveil pour activer le bouton SNOOZE/LIGHT (Snooze
Lumière) en bas.
2. La fonction d’éclairage est activée pendant 5 secondes.
Fonction de réinitialisation
Le réveil est équipé d’une fonction d’aide au réglage des aiguilles. En
appuyant à tout moment sur le bouton de réinitialisation, les aiguilles se
déplacent automatiquement sur la position de 12 heures, puis reçoivent
le signal.
Remarque: Appuyer sur le bouton SNOOZE / LIGHT pendant que
l’horloge est remise à 12 heures ou pendant que l’horloge reçoit un signal
de commande radio peut provoquer des interférences avec la réception de
la commande radio.
Garantie
2 ans de garantie contre les défauts matériels et de fabrication (à
l’exclusion des piles). Cette garantie est valable dans les pays où ce
réveil est ofciellement disponible à la vente.
Les écrans cassés ou ssurés ne sont pas couverts par la garantie.

Operazioni radio controllate, versione DCF
(Germania e Paesi europei)
Braun Quadrondo è impostata e controllata automaticamente tramite
segnale radio DCF. Il segnale radio DCF per l’impostazione dell’ora
è trasmesso da Francoforte, in Germania, e ha una copertura che
comprende l’intero Paese. Il suddetto segnale può essere ricevuto
noa1500kmdaFrancoforte,areachecomprendelamaggiorparte
dell’Europa centrale e occidentale.
Sveglia con operazioni radio controllate
1. Dopo aver installato la pila correttamente, l’orologio si
imposterà automaticamente per le 12:00 e inizierà poi a ricevere
il segnale. Una volta ricevuto e elaborato il segnale DCF
(processo che richiede da 3 a massimo 12 minuti), la sveglia
mostrerà automaticamente l’ora corretta.
2. Se dopo 12 minuti la sveglia non si è ancora sincronizzata,
questo vuol dire che la ricezione non è possibile nel luogo scelto
o difettosa. Si consiglia di impostare nuovamente la sveglia in
un altro luogo premendo il pulsante RESET.
Durante ogni ora dispari viene controllata la correttezza dell’ora,
paragonandola al segnale radio e correggendola se necessario. La
ricezione del segnale radio richiede ogni volta dai 3 ai 12 minuti.
Impostazione manuale dell’ora
1. Premere e mantenere premuto il pulsante TIME SET per 3-4
secondi per impostare l’ora.
2. Premere il pulsante TIME SET per un secondo per andare
avanti di un minuto, o
3. Premere e mantenere premuto il pulsante TIME SET per più di
2secondipervelocizzarel’impostazionedell’oranoa
raggiungere l’ora desiderata.
4. Se il pulsante TIME SET non viene premuto per 8 secondi, la
sveglia viene impostata.
Importante: Una volta impostata l’ora manualmente, se la sveglia
riceve un segnale valido si sincronizzerà automaticamente a un orario
radio controllato.
Impostazione sveglia
Per impostare la sveglia seguire una delle seguenti procedure:
1. Premendo la manopola ALARM SET posizionata sul retro della
sveglia, questa sporgerà verso l’esterno.
2. Girarelamanopolaindirezionedellafreccianoachenon
verrà mostrato l’orario di sveglia desiderato. Fare attenzione
a girare la manopola solo in direzione della freccia per non
danneggiarne il movimento.
