Safety
• Thekettle can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of theappliance in asafe way and if they
understand thehazards involved. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are
older than 8 and supervised.
• Keep theappliance and its cord out of reach of children aged
less than 8years.
• Thekettle may be used by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of theappliance in asafe way and
understand thehazards involved. Children shall not play with
theappliance.
• Check that your power supply is 220–240 V and that
thekettle is connected to anearthed socket.
• Always unplug thekettle from thepower point when it is not
inuse.
• Always unplug thelead from thepower point and let thekettle
cool down properly before cleaningit.
• Do not pull or carry thekettle by themainslead. Donot
use thelead as ahandle or let it get pinched in doorjambs.
Donot pull thelead around sharp corners oredges.

• Make sure that thelead does not come in contact with hot
surfaces such as cookerhobs.
• Never immerse thekettle, base, mains lead or plug in water or
other liquid. Riskof electricshock.
• Any children present when thekettle is in use must be closely
supervised.
• Certain parts of thekettle become hot during use, only grip
thekettle by its handle.
• Never use thekettle if it is damaged or not working properly.
• Themains lead should be checked regularly. Neveruse
thekettle if themains lead or plug is damaged.
• Themains lead must be changed if damaged. Thisis to
prevent therisk of electric shock or fire and should only be
carried out by themanufacturer, authorised service facility or
aqualified tradesman.
• Thekettle is designed for indoor useonly.
• Thekettle must only be used as described in this instruction
manual.
• Only operate thekettle using thesuppliedbase.
• Do not overfill thekettle by exceeding theMAX level on
thewater level window. Ifthekettle is overfilled, boiling water
may splashout.
• Ensure that thekettle is placed on afirm, flat surface Note:
before it is switchedon.
• Ensure that themains lead, plug, theelectrical Note:
connections on thebase and thekettle are clean, dry and
intact before switching thekettleon.
• Neverfill thekettle when it is on thebase. Remove Note:
thekettle from thebase and fill it with water carefully. Ensure
that thebase and thebody of thekettle are completely dry
before placing thekettle on thebase and switching iton.
• Never fill thekettle with water when it is switchedon.
