Safety
• Theclock radio must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
• Theclock radio is for indoor useonly.
• Do not place theclock radio where there is arisk of it falling into water or other liquid.
• Do not place theclock radio in damp or dusty environments or where it could be subject to
strong vibrations.
• Do not expose theclock radio to extremely high or low temperatures. Donot expose
theproduct to direct sunlight.
• Never try to open, change or modify theclock radio in anyway.
• Always remove thebatteries if theclock radio is not to be used for alongtime.
Warning!
• This product contains abutton cell battery. Ifthebattery is swallowed, within just two hours it
can lead to severe internal burns and even befatal.
• Never put batteries in your mouth and always handle them withcare. Riskfor serious injury.
• Keep new and used batteries out of thereach of children.
• Theproduct should never be used if thebattery compartment cover is in any way damaged
or malfunctioning.
• If you suspect that abattery has been swallowed or has entered thebody in another way,
seek medical assistance immediately.

Operating instructions
Battery
1. Open thebattery cover on theback of theclock radio by sliding it in thedirection of
thearrow. Remove any possible insulation film from thebattery. Theinsulating film is used to
maintain battery capacity during transport and storage.
2. Slide thebattery cover back intoplace.
3. Plug themains adaptor both into apower point and theclock’s power socket.
Note:
• During power cuts theclock’s battery maintains all time and alarm settings. However, it must
be remembered that thedisplay will be blank, theradio will not function and thealarm will
not sound when powered by thebackup battery.
• Anew battery (CR2032) has thecapacity to retain settings for about 3days.
