Safety
• Toast can start to burn, so thetoaster should not be placed
close to or beneath flammable materials such as curtains.
• Never use thetoaster together with atimer switch, multi-
socket extension lead or similar device.
• Unplug themains lead and let thetoaster cool before cleaning
it. Empty and clean thecrumb tray regularly. Use asoft, damp
cloth to clean thehousing. Never use solvents or abrasive
cleaning agents.
• The kettle may be used by children of 8 years and above
and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capability or lack of experience and knowledge provided they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of theappliance in asafe way and understand thehazards
involved.
• Never let children play with thetoaster. Cleaning and
maintenance may be carried out by children aged 8 or over,
but only under adult supervision.
• Keep thetoaster and its mains lead out of reach of children
under theage of 8.
• Place thetoaster on aflat, fire resistant and durable surface.
• Remove all packaging before use.
• Do not place thetoaster where there is arisk of it falling into
water or other liquid.
• Make sure that thevoltage used is suitable for theappliance.
