General Safety Instructions
Caution: Read all instructions. Failure to adhere to thefollowing instructions may
lead to electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Theterm “electrical hand tools” in
thewarning text below refers to your mains operated or battery operated hand tool.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
1) Work space
a) Cluttered and poorly lit areas Keep thework space clean and well illuminated.

b) Do not use electrical hand tools in explosive environments, i.e. nearby
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Electrical hand tools generate sparks that can
easily ignite dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and other bystanders away from thearea where you are using
theelectrical hand tool. Distractions can cause you to lose your concentration
and control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Theelectrical hand tool’s plug must fit correctly into thewall socket. Never
modify theplug in any way. Never use anadaptor together with earthed
electrical hand tools. Unmodified plugs and suitable wall sockets decrease therisk of
electric shock.
b) Avoid physical contact with earthed objects, such as pipes, radiators, ovens
or refrigerators. There is anincreased risk of electrical shock if your body is earthed.
c) Do not expose theelectrical hand tool to rain or other wet conditions.
If water gets inside anelectrical hand tool it increases therisk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse thelead. Never use thelead to carry thetool or pull theplug
from thewall socket. Keep thelead away from heat, oil, sharp edges and
movable parts. Damaged or tangled leads increase therisk of electrical shock.
e) When using electrical hand tools outdoors use anextension lead that is
suitable for this purpose. Use of anextension lead designed for outdoor use
decreases therisk for electric shock.
