Safety
• This product must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from physical
or mental impairment. This product should not be used by anyone who does not
have theproper experience or knowledge of theproduct unless they have been
instructed in its use by someone who takes full responsibility for their safety.
• Never let children play with theproduct.
• The kettle should only be used as described in this instruction manual.
• Place thekettle on adry and even surface.
• The kettle should only be used and stored indoors.
• Place theelectric kettle in asecure place and out of children’s reach to reduce
therisk of scalding from boiling water.
• Always unplug theproduct from thewall socket before cleaning it or when it is not
to be used for along time.
• The exterior of thekettle should not be exposed to water or other liquids.
If theexterior of thekettle is wet, pull out theplug and dry thekettle using acloth.
• Never immerse thebase in water.
• Check that your power supply is 230 V and that thekettle is connected to
anearthed socket.
• Do not pull or carry thekettle by themains lead. Do not use thelead as ahandle or
let it get pinched in door jambs. Do not pull thelead around sharp corners or edges.
• Make sure that thelead does not come into contact with hot surfaces, e.g. warm hobs.
• Do not use thekettle if thelead or plug is damaged. Do not use theappliance if
you have dropped it on thefloor, left it outdoors or dropped it in water.
• Only allow aqualified technician to repair themains lead if it is damaged.
• Do not open thehousing. Certain components inside thecasing are exposed and
carry dangerous electrical current. Contact with these components could result in
electric shock.
• The kettle must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
• The kettle must not be taken apart or modified.
• Do not touch thekettle or lid during or after boiling since it becomes very hot.
Use only thehandle. There is arisk of scalding.
