Note on use
n Cautions on installation
The quality of the sound produced from the speaker is affected
by the size and type of the room, as well as by the method of
installation. Consider the points listed below before installing the
speaker.
โขIf the bass sound is overemphasized when the speakers are
installed directly on the ๏ฌoor, set them on concrete blocks or
other hard stands.
โขNote that placing the speaker on the same stand or shelf as a
record player may result in howling.
โขAlso note that if there is a magnet or any device generating
magnetic force nearby, interaction between this device and the
speakers can cause the colors on the TV to become blotchy.
WARNING
โข Be sure to fasten the speaker cables to a wall, etc., to prevent
people from tripping over them or otherwise pulling on them
accidentally, causing the speakers to fall.
โขBe sure to check for safety after installing the speakers.
Afterwards, perform safety inspections at regular intervals to be
sure there is no danger that the speakers will fall. DENON will not
be liable for damages or accidents caused by inappropriate choice
of the place of installation or improper installation procedures.
n Cleaning
โขUse a dry wiping cloth and wipe lightly to remove dirt from the
cabinet and operation panel.
โขWhen using chemically treated cloths, follow the precautions
provided for them.
โขDo not use benzene, thinners, or other organic solvents or
insecticides on the speakers since they may cause a change in
quality or color.
n Other cautions
โขRaising the ampli๏ฌerโs volume excessively and playing with
distorted sound could damage the ampli๏ฌer and speakers. Enjoy
the sound at a reasonable volume level.
โขWhen moving the unit, note that applying strong force to the
surface of the speaker through the saran net could damage the
speaker.
Removing the Speaker Net
โขThe net on the front of the speakers can be removed.
โขTo remove, grasp both sides of the net and pull forward.
โขTo mount, line up the projecting pieces in the four corners of the
speaker net with the holes in the four corners of the cabinet and
press in.
Acoustic Sponge
When installing on a desktop or in the corner of your room, the bass
may emphasized. Insert sound foam plug in the bass-re๏ฌex duct at
the back of the SC-F109. (vA)
You can adjust the bass sound with the amount of sound foam
plug you insert.
NOTE
โขDo not insert the foam plug too deep. The foam plug could fall in
and get stuck inside.
โขIf the foam plug cannot be removed or falls inside, stop using
the unit immediately and consult your store of purchase or your
nearest repair and inquiry center.
How to Install
Attach four of the included anti-slip pads to the bottom of the unit.

Connections
When connecting the speakers to an ampli๏ฌer, be sure to read the
ampli๏ฌerโs ownerโs manual carefully and connect properly.
โขConnect the input terminals on the rear panel of the speaker with
the speaker output terminals on the ampli๏ฌer, using the included
speaker cables.
โขConnect the speaker for the left channel to the โLโ terminal on
the ampli๏ฌer, the speaker for the right channel to the โRโ terminal
on the ampli๏ฌer, making sure to check the polarities (โ+โ and
โโโ). (vC)
โขAmpli๏ฌers have various speaker output terminals.
Check the ownerโs manual of the ampli๏ฌer you are using for
details.
NOTE
โขBe sure to turn the ampli๏ฌerโs power off before connecting the
speakers to the ampli๏ฌer.
โขIf the polarities are inverted, the phase may be off and the sound
may have no bass component, making it seem unnatural. Be sure
to connect the polarities properly.
1Twist ๎ฟrmly the wires by hand so that they do
not stick out and cause short-circuits. (vD)
2Loosen the terminal by turning to the left and
insert the speaker cable through the hole in the
speaker terminal.
3Tighten the terminal by turning to the right
and check that the core wire is not protruding
from the hole.
Once connections are completed, pull gently on the speaker cables
to check that they are securely connected.
NOTE
โขDo not let the core wires of two speaker cables touch each other.
Doing so will short-circuit the ampli๏ฌer circuitry and damage the
ampli๏ฌer.

attentifs aux remarques inscrites ci-dessous avant lโinstallation du
enceintes.
โขSi le son des basses est excessif lorsque les enceintes sont
installรฉes directement sur le sol, placez-les sur des blocs de
bรฉton ou sur un autre support dur.
โขVeuillez noter que quand le enceintes est disposรฉ sur le mรชme
support ou la mรชme รฉtagรจre quโune platine disque, un bruit
gรชnant peut se produire.
โขNotez รฉgalement que si un aimant ou un autre appareil gรฉnรฉrant
une force magnรฉtique se trouve ร proximitรฉ, une interaction
entre cet appareil et les enceintes peut brouiller les couleurs de
la tรฉlรฉvision.

โขVous risquez dโendommager lโampli๏ฌcateur et les enceintes si
vous augmentez trop le volume de lโampli๏ฌcateur et produisez un
son distordu. Apprรฉciez le son ร un niveau de volume raisonnable.
โขLorsque vous dรฉplacez les enceintes, veuillez remarquer que
vous risquez de les endommager si vous exercez une forte
pression au niveau du ๏ฌlet de protection.
Demontage du filet dโenceinte
โขLe ๏ฌlet sur le devant des enceintes peut รชtre enlevรฉ.
โขPour lโenlever, attrapez les deux cรดtรฉs du ๏ฌlet et tirez vers lโavant.
โขPour remonter, alignez les parties saillantes dans les quatre
angles du ๏ฌlet de lโenceinte avec les ori๏ฌces des quatre angles
du caisson et appuyez.
รlรฉment en mousse
Si lโenceinte est installรฉe sur un meuble ou dans le coin de la piรจce,
les basses peuvent augmenter. Insรฉrez le bouchon en mousse
dans lโenceinte bass-re๏ฌex ร lโarriรจre du SC-F109. (vA)
Le son des basses peut รชtre ajustรฉ en fonction de la quantitรฉ de
mousse insรฉrรฉe.
REMARQUE
โขNe pas insรฉrer le bouchon en mousse trop profondรฉment. Le
bouchon en mousse risque de tomber et de rester coincรฉ ร
lโintรฉrieur.
โขSi le bouchon en mousse ne peut pas รชtre retirรฉ ou sโil tombe
ร lโintรฉrieur, cessez immรฉdiatement dโutiliser les enceintes
et contactez votre vendeur ou le centre de rรฉparation et
dโinformation le plus proche.
Installation
Fixez quatre des patins antidรฉrapants en dessous de l'unitรฉ. (vB)
Connexions
A๏ฌn dโeffectuer les connexions correctement, lisez attentivement
le mode dโemploi de lโampli๏ฌcateur.
โขConnectez les bornes dโentrรฉe situรฉes sur le panneau arriรจre des
enceintes aux bornes de sortie de lโampli๏ฌcateur, ร lโaide des
cรขbles dโenceinte (Fourni).
โขConnectez lโenceinte de la voie gauche ร la borne โLโ de
lโampli๏ฌcateur, lโenceinte de la voie droite ร la borne โRโ de
lโampli๏ฌcateur, en vรฉri๏ฌant les polaritรฉs (โ+โ et โโโ). (vC)
โขLes ampli๏ฌcateurs sont dotรฉs de diffรฉrents types de bornes de
sortie dโenceintes.
Vรฉri๏ฌez le mode dโemploi de votre ampli๏ฌcateur.
REMARQUE
โขLโampli๏ฌcateur doit รชtre mis hors tension avant dโy connecter les
enceintes.
โขSi les polaritรฉs sont inversรฉes, les enceintes risquent dโรชtre
horsphase et les basses ne seront alors pas reproduites
correctement. Assurezvous de connecter les polaritรฉs
correctement.
1Torsadez fermement les fils ร la main afin
quโils ne dรฉpassent pas et ne causent pas de
court-circuit. (vD)
2Desserrez la borne en tournant vers la gauche
et insรฉrez le cรขble du haut-parleur dans le trou
de la borne du haut-parleur.
3Serrez la borne en tournant vers la droite et
vรฉri๎ฟez que le ๎ฟl ne sort pas du trou.
Lorsque les connexions sont terminรฉes, tirez doucement sur
les cรขbles dโenceinte pour vous assurer quโils sont fermement
connectรฉs.
REMARQUE
โขNe pas laisser les ๏ฌls de deux cรขbles dโenceinte entrer en contact.
Ceci causerait un court-circuit et endommagerait lโampli๏ฌcateur.

n Precauzioni sullโinstallazione
La qualitร del suono emesso dal altoparlanti dipende dalla grandezza
e dal tipo dellโambiente nonchรฉ dal metodo di installazione. Prima di
installare il altoparlanti, osservate i seguenti punti.
โขSe il suono dei bassi รจ troppo enfatizzato quando gli impianti
di altoparlanti sono collocati direttamente a contatto con il
pavimento, posizionarli su blocchi di cemento o altri supporti
rigidi.
โขIl posizionamento del altoparlanti sullo stesso supporto o
sulla stessa mensola di un videoregistratore puรฒ provocare
interferenze.
โขNotare inoltre che se vicino allโunitร รจ presente un magnete o
un dispositivo che genera forza magnetica, lโinterazione tra tale
dispositivo e gli impianti di altoparlanti puรฒ comportare una
visualizzazione a macchie dei colori sul televisore.
AVVERTENZA
โข Fissare i cavi dellโaltoparlante alla parete ecc., in modo da non
rimanere impigliati e far cadere lโunitร .
โขDopo lโinstallazione dei altoparlanti, veri๏ฌcate che siano sicuri.
Dopodichรฉ, eseguire il controllo di sicurezza a intervalli regolari
per assicurarsi che non vi sia pericolo che gli impianti d altoparlanti
cadano. DENON declina ogni responsabilitร per danni o incidenti
dovuti alla scelta di un luogo di installazione inappropriato oppure
a procedure di installazione errate.
n Pulizia
โขUtilizzare un panno per pulire delicatamente lโunitร e rimuovere la
sporcizia dallโinvolucro e dal pannello di controllo.
โขQuando si utilizzano panni trattati chimicamente, adottare tutte le
precauzioni necessarie.
โขNon utilizzare benzene, diluenti, altri solventi chimici o insetticidi
sullโunitร principale, poichรฉ possono deteriorarne la qualitร o
modi๏ฌcare il colore.
n Altre precauzioni
โขUn volume eccessivo dellโampli๏ฌcatore e la riproduzione di suoni
distorti possono arrecare danni agli altoparlanti e allโampli๏ฌcatore.
Ascoltare la musica mantenendo il volume a livelli non eccessivi.
โขNello spostare lโunitร fare attenzione a non applicare unโeccessiva
pressione sulla super๏ฌcie dellโaltoparlante attraverso la rete
saran, poichรฉ ciรฒ potrebbe arrecare danni allโaltoparlante.
Rimozione della retedellโaltoparlante
โขLa rete anteriore dei altoparlanti puรฒ essere rimossa.
โขPer rimuoverla, afferrate entrambi i lati della rete e tiratela in
avanti.
โขPer il montaggio, allineare i quattro elementi sporgenti ai quattro
angoli della rete dellโaltoparlante con i fori ai quattro angoli del
mobiletto, quindi premere.
Spugna acustica
Lโinstallazione su una scrivania o in un angolo della stanza, รจ
possibile enfatizzare i bassi. Inserire il tappo in schiuma acustica
nellโapertura del condotto bass-re๏ฌex, posto sul retro dellโunitร
SC-F109. (vA)
Dosando la quantitร di schiuma acustica utilizzata, รจ possibile
regolare il livello dei bassi.
NOTA
โขNon inserire la spina di gomma troppo in profonditร . La spina di
gomma potrebbe cadere e rimanere incastrata allโinterno.
โขSe la spina di gomma non puรฒ essere rimossa o cade dentro,
smettere immediatamente di usare lโunitร e consultare il negozio
di acquisto o il piรน vicino centro di riparazioni e informazioni.

Collegamenti
Prima di effettuare i collegamenti, leggere attentamente il manuale
delle istruzioni dellโampli๏ฌcatore in modo da collegarlo in maniera
adeguata.
โขCollegare i terminali di ingresso collocati nel pannello posteriore
del altoparlanti con i terminali dโuscita dellโaltoparlante
sullโampli๏ฌcatore utilizzando i cavi dellโaltoparlante (In dotazione).
โขCollegare il altoparlanti per il canale sinistro al terminale โLโ
dellโampli๏ฌcatore e il altoparlanti per il canale destro al terminale
โRโ dellโampli๏ฌcatore, controllando inoltre le polaritร (โ+โ e โโโ).

โขCi sono diversi tipi di terminali dโuscita dellโaltoparlante sugli
ampli๏ฌcatori.
Controllare il manuale delle istruzioni dellโampli๏ฌcatore.
NOTA
โขSpegnere lโampli๏ฌcatore prima di collegare il altoparlanti allo
stesso.
โขSe le polaritร sono invertite, la fase potrebbe essere spenta
e lโaudio potrebbe non avere i toni bassi, risultando quindi
innaturale. Collegare le polaritร in maniera corretta.
1Avvolgere manualmente i ๎ฟli, in modo che non
fuoriescano con il rischio di provocare corto
circuiti. (vD)
2Allentare il terminale, facendolo ruotare
verso sinistra, e quindi inserire il cav o
dellโaltoparlante allโinterno del foro presente
sul terminale dellโaltoparlante.
3Serrare saldamente il terminale, facendolo
ruotare verso destra e assicurandosi che
lโanima del cavo non sporga dal foro.
Dopo aver completato i collegamenti, tirare leggermente i cavi
dellโaltoparlante per assicurarsi che siano collegati saldamente.
NOTA
โขEvitare che le anime dei due cavi di collegamento entrino in
contatto. In caso contrario, la circuiteria dellโampli๏ฌcatore andrร in
corto circuito, arrecando danni allโampli๏ฌcatore.
