Important Message to Customers
Thank you for purchasing one of our many top-quality electronic
products. Please take a moment to read through these instructions
to help you understand the safe and proper way to use this toy to
extend its usability. Keep these instructions for future reference
as they contain important information.
Dancing Groot
This product bears the selective sorting symbol for waste electrical
and electronic equipment (WEEE).
This means that this product must be handled pursuant to European
Directive 2012/19/EU in order to be recycled or dismantled to minimize
its impact on the environment.
For further information, please contact your local or regional authorities.
Electronic products not included in the selective sorting process are
potentially dangerous for the environment and human health due to
the presence of hazardous substances.
Maintenance
It is important to keep the unit as dry and clean as possible. Clean the unit with a soft
cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning agents, such as
thinner or similar materials are not recommended, as they may damage the surface of
the case.
Do not allow dirt, sand, small particles, water or other liquids to enter the toy's casing.
If the unit is to be left unused for an extended time period, such as a month or longer,
have an adult remove the battery to extend its life and to prevent leaking or corrosion.
Changing the Batteries
Note: Batteries should always be installed by
an adult.
1. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to open
the battery compartment door located on
the back of the unit.
2. Insert three AA (R6) batteries and align
the battery’s + and - terminals with the +
and - indicators in the battery compart-
ment.
3. Replace the compartment door and
tighten the screw with a Phillips
screwdriver. Do not over-tighten the
screw.

For the Best Possible Performance
•
Only use the recommended/supplied batteries or equivalent.
• Use alkaline batteries for longer life.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, and do not mix alkaline,
carbon-zinc or rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries.
• Insert batteries with proper polarity (+/–) as indicated.
• Remove exhausted batteries from product.
• Recharge rechargeable batteries under adult supervision.
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Do not open batteries or heat them beyond normal ambient temperatures.
• To prevent battery leakage or damage remove batteries from a product if it will
not be used for a month or longer.
• Use extreme caution handling leaking batteries (avoid direct contact with eyes
and skin). If battery leakage comes in contact with eyes, IMMEDIATELY flush
the eye with lukewarm and gently flowing water for at least 30 minutes. If skin
contact occurs, wash skin with clear water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical
attention if any symptoms occur.
• Store in cool, dry, ventilated area away from hazardous or combustible
material.
• Do not dispose of batteries in the household trash or fire.
• Follow applicable laws and local regulations for the disposal and transportation
of batteries.
• Batteries must be disposed of separately at your local waste recycling center.
Do not dispose of them in your household waste bin.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged.
ON/Aux-In/Demo/OFF Modes
• When the speaker is ON, press the Music Button to hear built-in music
play and see Groot dance.
• Press the Speech Button to hear phrases from Groot!
• The character will dance when it detects nearby sounds like music or
hand claps – try it!
• Connect one end of a 3.5 mm audio
cable (not included) to the headphone
jack of your audio device and the other
end to the Aux-In jack of the speaker to
listen to your own music! Slide the switch
to Aux-In mode and use the controls on
your audio device to play/pause and
navigate tracks. When done playing,
remember to slide the switch to the OFF
position.
Note: Demo mode is for in-store use only. To use the speaker,
slide the switch to the ON position.
