Introducon
In the studio, we’ve found that running mulple amps in parallel
really allowed us to get creave and complex tones that weren’t
possible with only one amp. The Muldrive was created with this
amp-stacking concept in mind. We think you’ll nd the blend is
greater than the sum of the parts, in a way that would make
Aristotle proud!
The Muldrive represents a sonic Swiss Army knife. Our goal with
this pedal was to allow you the control to create your own unique
tone from a blend of three original sounding circuits.

The Basics of the Muldrive
The Empress Muldrive gives you fuzz, overdrive and distoron
circuits that can be run simultaneously, in parallel; their individual
outputs get blended together to create the nal output. The gain
control on each secon controls how distorted the secon sounds,
and the volume control on each secon controls how much of the
eect appears at the output.
Fuzz: A classic sounding circuit with loads of gain and sustain.
Blending this in will add great note denion to lead parts. On its
own it will give you that classic, bursng at the seams kind of sound.
Overdrive: A completely original circuit, this overdrive is designed
to give you a warm and smooth break-up that cleans up well with
changes in volume and aack, much like a tube preamp.
Distoron: This circuit uses a combinaon of BJTs, FETs, LEDs,
standard diodes, and opamps. It’s a little bit of gain from a lot of
dierent places. In the mild seng, it’s focused and is an excellent
complement to the overdrive. In the crunch seng, you get a thick,
well dened sound with really ght low end. In the lead seng, it
compresses and gets over the top.
