1. Product description
• PMR is astandard for FM communication on
the 446.0–446.1MHz frequency band.
• No license or training is required which means
that PMR 2-way radios can be used by anyone.
• Call signal
• Auto squelch
• 8 channels
• Range: up to 3 km line-of-sight.
• Batteries: 3×AAA/LR03 (sold separately)

4. Operation
4.1 Power On/Off
Power on:
Press and hold . Abeep will be heard and theselected channel
willdisplay.
Power off:
Press and hold . Abeep will be heard and thedevice and display
will shutoff.
4.2 Adjusting the volume
Eight volume settings are available, from 1LE (lowest) to 8LE (highest).
Theset volume will be displayed. Adjustas follows: Press[ ▲ ] to
increase and [ ▼ ] to decrease. Thecurrent set volume is displayed
when adjusting.
4.3 Receiving
Your two-way radio is always in receive mode when it is turned on.
Whenasignal is received theRX icon will appear.
4.4 Transmitting
Press and hold [ PTT ] to talk and transmit. TheTX icon will appear.
Hold theradio vertically with themicrophone about 5 cm from your
mouth while pressing thePTT button and speak in anormal tone of
voice. Release [ PTT ] when you are finished and wait for aresponse.
4.5 Roger beep
When thePTT button is released aroger beep is sent letting
thereceiver know that you have finished speaking and are ready
foraresponse.
4.6 Changing channels
Selecting from theeight available channels: Press , and aflashing
“1” will appear. Press[ ▲ ] or [ ▼ ] to select thedesired channel
(1to8). Press once to confirm theselection and to return to
normal display mode.
4.7 Call signal
Press to send atone and alert everyone listening in on
thesamechannel.
Using thecall signal: Innormal receiving mode, push once.
Atwo-second tone will be sent to all those listening on thesame
channel. Everyone within range should be able to hear thetone,
barring any interference.
5. Power saving feature
The power saving feature is designed to increase your battery life.
Iftheradio has not been used for over four seconds, thepower
saving mode will activate automatically and will reduce power
consumption. Thisfeature does not affect your ability to receive
transmissions. Duringany reception, your radio will automatically
revert to normal powermode.
6. Range
Range is determined by anumber of factors like buildings, terrain,
use in vehicles, etc. Thebest range is achieved by having aclear line
of sight between thetransmitter and receiver. Inoptimal conditions
themax range is approximately 3km.
7. Disposal
This product should be disposed of in accordance with local
regulations. Ifyou are unsure how to proceed, contact your
localauthority.

3. Preparing your walkie-talkie for use
3.1 Removing the belt clip
1. Pull thebelt clip latch away from theradio
torelease.
2. Then pull thebelt clip upwards.
3.2 Inserting the batteries
1. Remove thebeltclip.
2. Press thebattery cover and slide itdownwards.
3.3 Inserting the belt clip
1. Slide thebelt clip into theslot.
2. A click will be heard when thebelt clip is locked
intoplace.
3. Insert three AAA/LR03 batteries
according to themarkings in
thebattery compartment.
4. Refit thebattery cover
and beltclip.
• Note: Usethesame type of batteries. Nevermix new and
discharged batteries.
• These radios have apower saving feature, but it is always
agood idea to turn off theproduct with thepower switch when
theproduct is not inuse.
• Remove thebatteries from theproduct if you do not plan
to use it for anextended period of time to avoid therisk of
batteryleakage.
