handleintheleftopening.Ensurefilterbasketisfully

seated.

3. PlaceOPTIONAL waterfilter and water filterbaseinto

waterreservoir(see“Optionalaccessories”).

4. For eachcupofcoffee beingmade,placeone level

tablespoonofcoffeeintofilter.Usea#4cone-style

paperfilter.Foldfilteratthecrimpforproperplacement.

Iffilternotfoldedatcrimp,itmaycollapseoran

overflowmayoccur.

5. Fillcarafewith the desired amount ofcold tapwater.

6. Pour water from carafe into reservoir.

NOTE: Donotfillpastthe 12-cup mark.

7. Place carafe, with carafe lidattached, on keep-hotplate.

8. Close lid. Pressfirmlyonlid toensure thatitis

completelyclosed.

9. Turnswitch to ON ().A lightedswitch indicates thattheI

15minutes.Thenrinseundercoldrunningtapwaterfor

15seconds.

2. Insertfilterinbase. Snaplidontobase. Setyour

replacementmonthbyaligningarrowwiththemonth

youexpectwillrepresent60brewcycles.

3. Usingthewater filter lid(or handle),placefilterand filter

baseinwaterreservoir.Thewaterfilterbaseshouldfit

snugglyinaspeciallydesignedwellatthebottomofthe

waterreservoir.

4. Replace after 60 brewing cycles. Refer to the month

2. Place empty carafe on keep-hot plate.Close empty filter

basket.

3. Pourone pintofplain white vinegarinto the water

reservoir.

4. Plugunitintoelectrical outlet and turn ON().I

5. After30seconds, turnOFF().O

6. Wait30minutestoallowthe vinegarto clean.Then turn

ONagain.Whenthebrewcycleisfinished,turnOFF(O).

7. Empty carafe and rinse. Pourone carafe ofcoldtap

waterintothewaterreservoir.Placecarafeon

keep-hotplate.

8. Turn ON ().When the brew cycle isfinished,empty theI

carafe.Repeatthisprocesswithonemorecarafeofcold

tapwater.

9. Turn OFF ()when complete.O
