Functions and features
The diffuse-reflection sensor detects objects and materials without contact and
indicates their presence by a switched signal.

Installation

LED1:
Align the photocell and fasten to a mounting device. ►
Electrical connection
Disconnect power. ►
Connect the unit as follows. ►
Cable Connector Pin connection
L+ BN pin 1
L- BU pin 3
load BK pin 4
— — pin 2
Core colours BN = brown, BU = blue, BK = black
Setting of sensitivity and output function
The sensor is to switch when the object is detected:

Setting of the maximum sensitivity
The sensor is to switch when the object is detected:
Align the unit so that no light is reflected. ►
First press the [OUT on] button then the [OUT off] button. ►
The sensor is to switch when no object is detected:
Align the unit so that no light is reflected. ►
First press the [OUT off] button then the [OUT on] button. ►
Lock or unlock the push buttons:
Press both buttons for 10 s. ►
Acknowledgement is indicated by a change of the yellow LED status. >
Programming failed:
The yellow LED flashes quickly (8 Hz). >
Measured value difference too small.•
Max. programming time of 15 min. exceeded.•
Operation
The LED is lit when the output is switched. •
Maintenance
Keep the lens of the sensor free from soiling. For cleaning do not use any solvents
or cleaning agents which could damage the plastic lenses.
