GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Klein Tools VDV512-007 Pocket Coax Continuity Tester identifies and
verifies proper continuity of F-connector terminated coaxial cables. The tester
and remote allows cable runs between two different locations to be identified
and tested with status (wired properly, short or open) indicated via a buzzer
and colored LED indicators.

• Operating Temperature: ° ° ° °32 to 122 F (0 to 50 C)
• Storage Temp: ° ° ° °-4 to 140 F (-20 to 60 C)

TESTING CABLES
NOTE: Not for use on powered circuits or outlets.
1. Unscrew test remote

from Pocket Coax Continuity Tester.
2. Connect test remote to one end of cable to be tested.
3. Connect F Connector on Pocket Coax Continuity Tester

to opposite
end of cable, using included F Adapter

if necessary. Response will
occur on contact:

NOTE: To optimize battery life, keep remote docked when tester is not
in use.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
If the tester fails to respond when connected to a cable with a known status, the
battery must be replaced.
1. Holding the tester body

firmly, grasp tester head

and unscrew
(turn counter-clockwise).
NOTE: DO NOT unscrew using F Connector, as
damage may occur. Use hands only, as use of tools may damage tester.
2. Remove and recycle spent AAA battery

Install new AAA battery, with the positive (+) side facing out of the tester as
shown.
4. Screw tester head back onto body and hand-tighten.
STORAGE
Remove the battery when the tester is not in use for a prolonged period of time.
Do not expose to high temperatures or humidity.
