including the following:

• To prevent fire, electric shock, and injury, do not immerse the cord, plug, base, or kettle
in water or any other liquid.
• Never leave the kettle unattended during use. Close supervision is required when using
this kettle near or by children.
• Unplug the kettle when not in use, when the kettle is empty, during filling, when
moving, and before cleaning. Allow it to cool before putting on or removing parts or
before cleaning.
• Do not operate the kettle with a damaged cord or plug or after any malfunction or

• Use only the base provided. Using attachments not recommended by Kogan.com may
result in fire, electric shock, or injury.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Avoid letting the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
• Operate the kettle on a flat surface. Do not place it on or near a hot gas or electric
burner, in a heated oven, or on top of other kettles.
• Use the kettle only for its intended purpose.
• Avoid circuit overload; do not operate another high- wattage appliance on the same
circuit.
• Do not fill the kettle while on the base. Ensure the bottom is dry before placing it back
onto the base.
• Take care with steam emitted from the spout or lid, especially during refilling. Do not
remove the lid during the brewing cycle.
• Only heat water in the kettle.
• Do not fill above the ‘ ’ max marking, and ensure water is above the minimum mark.
Overfilling may cause boiling water to be ejected.

• Do not insert objects into any slots or openings of the kettle.
• Open the lid using the release button only and push it down to lock in place.
