Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of 
the  batteries / rechargeable  batteries!
Batteries / rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual do-
mestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazard-
ous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy 
metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why 
you should dispose of used batteries / rechargeable batteries at a local collec-
tion point.
Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticu-
lously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal 
rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any 
way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this 
product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the 
date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge 
to you. 
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original 
sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of 
purchase. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or 
used or maintained improperly. 
The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does 
not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered 
consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, 
rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
Using the product disconnected from  
a power supply
   Fully charge the product, as described in the section on “Charging the 
product”.
   Press the ON / OFF button

-  Vehicle battery too weak?
Maintenance and cleaning
The product requires no maintenance. The LEDs cannot be replaced. 
   Switch off and disconnect the product from the power supply before you 
clean it.
   Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
   Do not use corrosive cleaning agents.
   Clean the product regularly with a dry, fluff-free cloth. Use a slightly moist 
cloth to remove any stubborn dirt.
Disposal
 The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you 
may dispose of at local recycling facilities. The Green Dot is not 
valid for Germany.

 Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separa-
tion, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with 
following meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and fibreboard /  
80–98: composite materials.
 The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it 
separately for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in 
France only.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how 
to dispose of your worn-out product.
 To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product  
properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the 
household waste. Information on collection points and their opening 
hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Faulty or used batteries / rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accord-
ance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return the  
batteries / rechargeable batteries and / or the product to the available  
collection points.
CAUTION! Do not connect the product to the cigarette lighter socket of your 
vehicle if the vehicle battery is old or degraded. Failure to observe this advice 
may result in your vehicle’s engine not starting.
Note: To use the 
product
 without an adapter,
 you must first charge the integral 
rechargeable battery. It takes between 4 and 6 hours to charge the integral 
battery. The rechargeable battery is permanently installed in the handle of the 
product.
Note: Charge the product for approximately 12 hours before first use.
Note: Charge the product at least once a month, if it is to remain unused for 
an extended period of time. 
Note: If the product has not been charged for an extended period of time 
(approx. 2 months), you could find that the integral rechargeable battery has 
entered a dormant state. 
Charge and discharge the product a number of times in succession to 
reactivate the integral rechargeable battery. 
   Switch off the product during the charging process (press the ON / OFF 
button

   Remove the rubber protection cap

   Insert the power output connection plug of the mains adapter

   Note:  During charging from a cigarette lighter socket, ensure that the plug is 
always completely inserted into the cigarette lighter socket of the vehicle. 
Failure to observe this advice may result in risk of fire from overheating.
   Insert the mains adapter

 into a mains socket or the car adapter

the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle.
   Note:  The product has an overcharging protection system. Nevertheless, 
you should disconnect the product from the mains once the charging 
process is complete.
  Note: The indicator LED

 illuminates red during the charging process. 
When the charging process is complete, the indicator LED

 illuminates 
green. When the indicator LED

 illuminates green, pull the mains 
adapter

 out of the mains socket or the car adapter

the battery from discharging itself.

Use
  CAUTION – RISK OF ACCIDENT! 
   If at all possible, do not use the product in a moving vehicle. 
   If the product is used in a vehicle, it must not be allowed to endanger the 
safety of the driver or passengers. 
   Always store and secure the product in such a way that there is no risk of 
injury from or damage to the product, even during full braking.

protective surround. Then hold the product against a magnetic surface.
   Adjust the magnetic holder

 to the middle of the product in order to 
balance the product.
   Pull the mains adapter / plug out of the mains socket / cigarette lighter socket 
when you are not using the 
product
 or before you clean it. Do this as well if 
signs of a fault develop during use or charging, e.g. smoke, burning smell etc., 
or during a storm. When doing this, pull directly on the mains adapter / plug 
and not on the power lead.
   Protect the product against heat, strong vibrations and impacts.
   Do not attach the hook 
1
 to hot objects. The dead weight of the 
product
might cause the hook to deform or bend out of shape.
 The product is only suited for use with the included mains adapter (Model No.  
ZD5C090050BSE).
   Please note that the power adapter continues to draw a small amount of 
power even if the product is turned off as long as the power adapter is 
plugged into a power outlet. To switch the product off completely, unplug the 
power adapter from the socket.
   The LEDs are not replaceable. 
   If the LEDs fail at the end of their lifes, the entire product must be replaced.
 Safety instructions for batteries /  
rechargeable batteries
  DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries / rechargeable batteries out of reach 
of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
    DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge non-rechargea-
ble batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries / rechargeable batter-
ies and / or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the 
result.
  Never throw batteries / rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
  Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries / rechargeable batteries.
Risk of leakage of batteries / rechargeable batteries
  Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could  
affect batteries /rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators / direct sunlight.
  Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In the event of 
contact with battery acid, thoroughly flush the affected area with plenty of 
clean water and seek immediate medical attention.
     WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or damaged batter-
ies / rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the 
skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event 
occurs.
  This product has a built-in rechargeable battery which cannot be replaced 
by the user.
  The removal or replacement of the rechargeable battery may only be  
carried out by the manufacturer or his customer service or by a similarly 
qualified person in order to avoid hazards. When disposing of the prod-
uct, it should be noted that this product contains a rechargeable battery.

Note: Remove all packaging materials from the product.
Charging the product
Note: You can charge the product from an ordinary domestic mains power 
outlet or from the cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle.
Note: The fuse of the car adapter

comply with information given in the section “Technical Data”. The fuse may 
only be replaced by a qualified electrician.
 Tip: We recommend that you charge the product from an ordinary 
domestic mains power outlet to avoid draining your vehicle’s battery.

Safety instructions
     Always keep children away from the packaging material. This 
product is not a toy.
   This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and 
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of 
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or 
instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the 
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and 
user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
   Do not use the product if you detect any kind of damage. 
    CAUTION! DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Do not operate the 
product in potentially explosive environments in which there are 
inflam mable vapours, gases or dusts.
   The 
product
 is protected against water spray. However, the product, mains 
adapter and car adapter must never be immersed in water or other liquids. 
Failure to observe this advice will create the risk of electric shock! Never hang 
the product near a washbasin, pond and the like.
   Connect the 
product
 to a properly installed mains socket or a suitable 
cigarette lighter socket only. The voltages in each case must comply with 
information given in the section “Technical data”.
   Ensure that the electrical socket is easily accessible so that you can pull the plug 
quickly out of the socket if necessary.
 Do not carry out any modifications or repairs to the product yourself. The LEDs 
cannot and must not be replaced.
    CAUTION! The protective surround to the LEDs cannot be replaced. Dispose 
of the 
product
 if you discover cracks or signs of fracture on the protective 
surround. 
   Dispose of the product if the
