Stereo Mono Converter

These instructions are intended for users without any

speciﬁc technical knowledge. Please read the instruc-

tions carefully prior to operating the unit and keep

them for later reference.

1 Important Notes

The converter corresponds to all relevant directives of the

EU and is therefore marked with .

• The converter is suitable for indoor use only. Protect

it against dripping water, splash water and high air

humidity. The admissible ambient temperature range

is 0 – 40 °C.

• For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use water

or chemicals.

• No guarantee claims for the converter and no liability

for any resulting personal damage or material damage

will be accepted if the converter is used for other pur-

poses than originally intended, if it is not correctly con-

nected or if it is not repaired in an expert way.

If the converter is to be put out of operation

deﬁnitively, take it to a local recycling plant

for a disposal which is not harmful to the

environment.

2 Applications

The converter SMC-1 is required when a stereo signal

source is to be connected to a mono audio unit (e. g.

PA ampliﬁer, active speaker system). The converter will

mix the two stereo signals to a mono signal; it does not

require any power supply.

3 Connecting the Converter

1) Connect the jacks IN to the line output of the signal

source.

2) Each of the jacks OUTPUT can be connected to the

input of a mono unit.

Stereo-Mono-Konverter

Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Benutzer ohne be-

sondere Fachkenntnisse. Bitte lesen Sie die Anleitung

vor dem Betrieb gründlich durch und heben Sie sie

für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.

1 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch

Der Konverter entspricht allen relevanten Richtlinien der

EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.

• Setzen Sie den Konverter nur im Innenbereich ein und

schützen Sie ihn vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser sowie vor

hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit. Der zulässige Einsatztempera-

turbereich beträgt 0 – 40 °C.

• Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes, wei-

ches Tuch, niemals Chemikalien oder Wasser.

• Wird der Konverter zweckentfremdet, falsch ange-

schlossen oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann keine

Haftung für daraus resultierende Sach- oder Personen-

schäden und keine Garantie für den Konverter über-

nommen werden.

Soll der Konverter endgültig aus dem Betrieb

genommen werden, übergeben Sie ihn zur

umweltgerechten Entsorgung einem ört lichen

Recyclingbetrieb.

2 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten

Der Konverter SMC-1 wird benötigt, wenn eine Stereo-

Signalquelle an ein Mono-Audiogerät (z. B. ELA-Verstär-

ker, Aktiv-Lautsprecherbox) angeschlossen werden soll.

Er mischt die beiden Stereo-Signale zu einem Mono-

Signal. Der SMC-1 benötigt keine Spannungsversorgung.

3 Anschluss des Konverters

1) Die Buchsen IN mit dem Ausgang der Signalquelle

verbinden.

2) Jede der Buchsen OUT kann mit dem Eingang eines

Mono-Gerätes verbunden werden.
