1. Introduction

Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle
could harm the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal
waste; it should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be
returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental
rules.

into service. If the device was damaged in transit, do not install or use it and contact your
dealer.
2. Safety Instructions
Read and understand this manual and all safety signs before using this appliance.
Indoor use only. Only use the appliance in a protected outdoor area, such as on a covered
patio or deck. Do not use it in an unprotected outdoor area, and do not immerse the cord,
plug or the appliance itself in water or other liquids.
• This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended during use. Always switch off the appliance and
unplug it when not in use, if left unattended and before cleaning and storing.
Electrical Safety and Cord Handling
• Voltage: Make sure your outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the voltage and
frequency stated on the rated label.
• Connection: This product must be grounded to reduce the risk of electric shock. Insert the
plug into a properly installed and grounded electrical outlet. Grip the plug and guide it
firmly into the outlet.
• Damage: Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. The supply cord cannot be
replaced. If the cord is damaged, the appliance should be scrapped.

Do not pick up or operate the appliance if the power supply cord, plug or housing is damaged,
or after it malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. In case of damage,
contact your dealer.
