Installation and Operating
Instructions
Please hand these instructions to the stove user when the
installation is complete. Leave the system ready for operation
and instruct the user in the correct use of the appliance and
operation of controls.
Installation – We strongly recommend installation by a
qualified plumber or suitably qualified fitter
Assembly Instructions
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
It is important that your stove is correctly installed, as IONA Insert
Stoves cannot accept responsibility for any fault arising through
incorrect installation.
The IONA Insert Stove is only suitable for installation in a solid fuel fireplace; the
fireplace must be capable of withstanding the high temperatures generated by this
stove.
Your IONA Insert Stove comes Carefully remove straps and lift
packed in a box or crate off the upper box or crate
Remove the plastic bag and
upon opening the door
remove all the contents.
1. Secure the Fixing Bar and the tightening screw to the rear of the appliance
2. Open sealing kit supplied and glue sealing rope into channel on rear edge of
appliance. Some types of fire cement/glue are caustic and should not be allowed to
come into contact with the skin. In case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of
water.
3. Remove the grate. Place the insert stove in position on the hearth and push it
flush against the fireplace fascia; marking the intended position of the fixing screw
in the fireplace through the hole in bottom of the appliance. Remove the stove and
drill a hole, insert the rawl plug supplied. Re-position the stove and screw into place.
