Care and cleaning

w Electric Shock Hazard.

To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do

not immerse the cord, plug, or base in

water or any other liquid.

Unplug and let cool.

Wipe cooking grids and outside of unit

with a damp, soapy cloth. Rinse cloth

and wipe grids again.

Do not use steel wool, scouring pads,

or abrasive cleansers on any part of

the unit. Never use sharp or pointed

objects for cleaning purposes.

Always allow the appliance to cool

down completely before storing. Lock

the cover lock; then the unit can be

stored upright to save space.

How to use

Burn Hazard. Always use

an oven mitt to protect hand when opening

a hot waffle maker. Escaping steam can

burn.

BEFORE FIRST USE: Wipe the bottom and

top cooking grids with a soapy, damp cloth.

Rinse cloth; then wipe grids again.

Plug into outlet. The POWER ON light will

glow.

This appliance is intended for

household use only.

w Electrical Shock

Hazard: This appliance is provided with

either a polarized (one wide blade) or

grounded (3-prong) plug to reduce the

risk of electric shock. The plug fits only

one way into a polarized or grounded

outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose

of the plug by modifying the plug in any

way or by using an adapter. If the plug

does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse

the plug. If it still does not fit, have an

electrician replace the outlet.

The length of the cord used on this

appliance was selected to reduce

the hazards of becoming tangled in

or tripping over a longer cord. If a

longer cord is necessary, an approved

extension cord may be used. The

electrical rating of the extension cord

must be equal to or greater than the

rating of the appliance. If the appliance

is of the grounding type, the extension

Usage tips

• Most waffle recipes can be poured

directly onto the nonstick cooking grids.

Use a cooking spray for dessert waffles

or any recipe with a lot of sugar. If your

waffles start to stick, the grids may need

to be scrubbed with a nylon brush to

remove any cooked-on food particles.

• Waffles can be made ahead of time and

kept warm in a 200°F (93°C) oven.

• To store waffles, let cool and then

pack in an airtight container. Store in

refrigerator or freezer. Waffles can be

reheated in a microwave oven, a toaster

oven, or regular oven.

• Most waffles are done in about 3 to 6

minutes. Recipes made from scratch

may take longer. Check for doneness

after approximately 5 minutes or when

the steaming stops. If the lid doesn’t lift

easily, let waffles cook a minute more

before checking again.

Limited warranty

This warranty applies to products purchased

and used in the U.S. and Canada. This is the

only express warranty for this product and is

in lieu of any other warranty or condition.

This product is warranted to be free from

defects in material and workmanship for

a period of one (1) year from the date of

original purchase. During this period, your

exclusive remedy is repair or replacement

of this product or any component found to

be defective, at our option; however, you

are responsible for all costs associated with

returning the product to us and our returning

a product or component under this warranty

wear from normal use, use not in conformity

Preheat with lid closed until READY light

comes on.

NOTE: The lid latch will lock upper lid

automatically when lid closes; open lid by

pushing the top latch.

Use a cooking spray before pouring

batter into the grids, especially for

dessert waffles or recipes with a lot of

sugar.

Push upper latch on

lid to open. Riase

lid and pour batter

onto center of each

waffle square. Lower

the lid.

Waffles are done

in about 3 to 6

minutes, depending

on recipe, or when steaming begins

to stop. Remove waffle with plastic or

wooden utensil. Never use metal. This

will damage the nonstick coating.

Unplug. Let cool.

Power ON and ready lights

The POWER ON light comes on when the

waffle maker is first plugged in. This light

will stay on until the unit is unplugged.

The READY light comes on when the

waffle maker has reached the desired

temperature. For best results, wait until the

READY light comes on before adding the

waffle batter. This light will cycle on and off

during baking.

Cette fiche s’insère d’une seule manière

.Risque de brûlures

Toujours utiliser un gant de cuisinier pour

protéger les mains pendant la manipulation

d’un gaufrier chaud. La vapeur s’échappant

peut brûler.

AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION :

Essuyer les grilles de couvercle et de fond

avec un linge humidifié d’eau savonneuse.

Rincer le linge puis essuyer à nouveau les

grilles.

Brancher dans une prise de courant. Le

témoin d’ALIMENTATION ON s’allumera.

Préchauffer en fermant le couvercle

jusqu’à ce que le témoin de

PRÉCHAUFFAGE s’allume.

REMARQUE : Le taquet du couvercle

verrouillera automatiquement le couvercle

supérieur dès sa fermeture. Ouvrir le

couvercle en poussant le taquet supérieur.

Utiliser un enduit pour cuisson avant de

verser la pâte sur les grilles, surtout pour

des gaufres desserts ou des recettes

contenant beaucoup de sucre.

Pousser le taquet supérieur du couvercle

pour ouvrir. Soulever le couvercle et verser

la pâte au centre de chaque moule à

gaufre. Abaisser le couvercle.

Les gaufres sont cuites après 3 à 6

minutes environ, selon la recette ou

lorsque la vapeur ne s’échappe plus.

Retirer les gaufres avec un ustensile en

plastique ou en bois. Ne jamais utiliser

d’ustensiles métalliques. Ceci pourra

endommager l’enduit antiadhésif.

Débrancher. Laisser refroidir.
