HAZARDOFELECTRICSHOCK,EXPLOSION,ORARCFLASH

•Electricalequipmentmustbeinstalled,operated,serviced,andmaintained

onlybyqualifiedpersonnel.

•Applyappropriatepersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE)andfollowsafe

electricalworkpractices.

•TurnoffallpowersupplyingtheUPSsystembeforeworkingonorinsidethe

equipment.

•BeforeworkingontheUPSsystem,checkforhazardousvoltagebetweenall

terminalsincludingtheprotectiveearth.

•TheUPScontainsaninternalenergysource.Hazardousvoltagecanbe

presentevenwhendisconnectedfromthemainssupply.Beforeinstallingor

servicingtheUPSsystem,ensurethattheunitsareOFFandthatmainsand

batteriesaredisconnected.WaitfiveminutesbeforeopeningtheUPSto

allowthecapacitorstodischarge.

•TheUPSmustbeproperlyearthed/groundedandduetoahighleakage

current,theearthing/groundingconductormustbeconnectedfirst.

Failuretofollowtheseinstructionswillresultindeathorseriousinjury.
