Unpacking Your Tool
Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Familiarise yourself with all its features and functions.
Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or damaged,
have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool.
Before Use
WARNING: Do not use the torch if it is leaking or damaged. Using a leaking or damaged torch may
cause injury. Inspect the tool for leakage or damage before use.
Filling with fuel
WARNING: Ensure the torch has cooled completely before refuelling. NEVER attempt to refuel a hot
torch!
IMPORTANT: Always check the Flow Control Dial (3) is at the minimum/closed position before relling.
Use a conventional butane gas lighter rell canister to refuel the torch.
1. Remove Base (5)
2. Turn the torch upside down and hold rmly in a vertical position. DO NOT ll the torch in a non-vertical
position.
3. Insert the nozzle of the rell canister into the Rell Point/Pressure Adjustment (6).
4. Press the canister against the torch for max 10 seconds to release the gas into the torch.
IMPORTANT: After lling wait at least 2 minutes for any escaped gas to evaporate before igniting the torch.
WARNING: DO NOT hold the canister against the torch for longer than 10 seconds. The torch will cool
rapidly during lling. This may lead to the canister and/or torch freezing up, causing internal damage and
invalidating the warranty.
Operation
Igniting the torch
1. Rotate the Flow Control Dial (3) fully anticlockwise
2. Press and hold the Ignition Switch (4) to light the torch
WARNING: When igniting the torch, always depress the Ignition Switch completely until the piezo
ignition operates and ignites the gas. Partially depressing the switch will start the gas ow, but not actually
ignite the gas. This can lead to a dangerous build-up of gas, and to spontaneous ash re, etc.
3. The Ignition Switch can now be released; the ame will remain constant
4. Adjust the ame intensity by rotating the Rell Point/Pressure Adjustment (6)
5. To extinguish the ame, rotate the Flow Control Dial fully clockwise
6. When nished using the torch, connect it to the base and allow it to cool down fully before storing it
WARNING: DO NOT use continually for more than 2 minutes. Let the torch cool down completely
between use cycles.
Maintenance
IMPORTANT: Ensure ame is extinguished and turn the Flow Control Dial (3) fully clockwise before carrying
out any maintenance tasks.
Cleaning
IMPORTANT: Keep the torch clean at all times. Excessive dirt and dust may create a re hazard.
Clean the torch after use using a clean, dry cloth.
Storage
Store torch in the original packaging at room temperature in a clean, dry, secure location away from
chemical and mechanical hazards.
Do not store in areas where the torch may be exposed to strong light or heat.
