General notes

Note: Examine the appliance after unpacking it. In the event of

transport damage, do not plug it in.

Note: Do not remove any of the aluminum tape as it is needed for

sealing air leaks.

PERSONS, OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:

• Use this unit only in the manner intended by the manufacturer. If you

have questions, contact the manufacturer.

• Before servicing or cleaning unit, switch power off at service panel

and lock the service disconnecting means to prevent power from

being switched on accidentally

• When the service disconnecting means cannot be locked, securely

fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service

panel.

Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local code

authorities.

• When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage

electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.

• Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.

To reduce the risk of re and electric shock, install this blower only with

Masterpiece® Series Downdraft Hood models shown below. Other

downdraft hood models cannot be substituted. (Downdraft hoods sold

separately).
