Getting started
Recharging battery
 ■
                         This  unit  has  a  built-in  Li-Polymer rechargeable  battery. Before  use, fully  charge  the  battery  by 
connecting the unit to a computer or other devices made for USB charging through the included USB 
cable. 
Plug the micro USB end of the included USB cable into the USB port, marked ‘• ’ on the back 
of this unit.
Plug the other end into a USB port on your computer or other devices made for USB charging.•
The LED will glow red when charging. When the battery is full, it will glow blue. Charge time is 3 •
Hours from an empty battery.

A LED light is located at the front of the unit, indicating the various status/modes of the unit.

Listening to sound from a Bluetooth® device
Set-up and pairing via Bluetooth
 ■
®
 for music playback and hands-free calling
     In order  to use this unit for music playback and Hands-free Calling through Bluetooth®, the speaker 
must first be paired with the Bluetooth
® device.
Note
           This unit  can  pair  with most  Bluetooth• ®                  2.0  devices. Since  the  pairing procedure  can  vary  by 
device, please consult the Owner’s manual of your device.
Putting the unit into pairing mode
 ■
 Press and hold  the 1   [ ]   to turn on the unit. Power ON/OFF button
You will hear “Power On sound”. •
Press and hold the 
 2     on this unit until the light on the front starts blinking red and blue. button
This indicates that it is in pairing mode.•
Once your device has detected the speaker, select “Toshiba TY-SP3”.

If a security code is required for pairing, enter “0000”•
Note
This unit will stay in pairing mode for 1 minutes. If you do not complete the next steps before then, turn •
off the unit by pressing and hold the [Power ON/OFF] button, and then back to ON. Repeat step 2.
Controlling playback when connected via Bluetooth
 ■®
VOLUME              Using  the  volume controls  on  the  top  of this  unit,  push  the       to button
increase volume and the     to decrease volume.button
PAUSE MUSIC Press the      to pause playback, and then press the    again to button button 
resume music.
PLAYBACK CONTROL Press and hold    /      then you can control  next and previous skip button
control.
Taking calls on connected to this unit
 ■
When you receive an incoming call, an alert will sound from the unit. If you are listening to music from 
your Phone, the music will automatically pause.
Before the speakerphone feature of this unit can be used, you will need to pair and link your Bluetooth
®-
enabled phone with this unit. Please refer to “Putting the unit into pairing mode”.
To accept a call 
 You can accept a call as you usually do, using your phone controls or press   button of the unit. Speak 
                         normally. Your call  will  come  through  the  speakers  and your  voice picked  up  through  the  built-in 
microphone. 
To end a call 
 Use your Phone controls or press the    .button
To redial call
 Press two time     then Repeat to calling last income or send call number.button
Listening to other portable audio devices
You can connect an MP3 player or other portable audio device through this unit via AUX-in Jack.
Plug in the 3.5 mm jack plug into the headphone or line-out jack on your audio device, and then

plug in the 3.5 mm jack into this unit.
The unit will into AUX mode.•
Turn on and play your audio device.

Adjust the volume level on your audio device.3 
To preserve power, remember to turn off the unit when not in use.

Before using chemically treated cloth, read the instructions that came with the cloth carefully.•

About Using Bluetooth®
This unit is designed for use with Bluetooth
® wireless devices compatible with the HFP, HSP, A2DP and
