AC POWER SUPPLY
FOR THE VL-1000 LINEAR AMPLIFIER
The VP-1000 is an external AC power supply for use with the VL-1000 Linear Amplifier, providing 48
Volts DC at up to 48 amperes for extended periods.
Excellent regulation and conservative design assure the owner of many years of trouble-free opera-
tion, even in heavy duty applications, such as full power AM, FM, or RTTY transmission. A thermally
switched cooling fan automatically activates during long periods of high current demand, to maintain
a safe operating temperature in the power supply. An alarm signal output is provided to the VL-1000
to avoid damage in the event that excessive current, excessive voltage, or over-heating of the heatsink
should occur.
