ZTE Blade A5 2020 UpgradeGuide (Throughan SDCard)

1. Cautions

The software version and pictures in this document are just for

reference only. Please use ZTE handset support website provided version

to download software.

1)Downloadthe upgrade package.

Open http://www.ztedevice.com.cn/support and download the upgrade

package (update.zip) that matches yourphone model. Ifthe

downloaded package is not update.zip, unzip the package to obtain

update.zip.

Ensure that your micro SD card is atleast 2GB.

NotePlease referto our current versiondownload size：.

2) Removethe SIM card, thenback up the data and APPs in your phone

before the upgrade.

3)Perform databackup.

Note:Youshould not remove the SD card during the backupprocess. To

avoiddatalost, it is not recommendedtocancelthe backup process.

4)Verify thatthefile intheroot directory of the SDcardupdate.zip

matches the model ofthe phone. Do not modifythefile nameand

extension nameofthe files in the upgradepackage.

5)Verify that your phone has enough (at least 40%) power.Chargethephone

ifrequired. Toavoid data lostorupgrade failure,itisnot recommendedto

upgrade your phone through an SDcard whenthe phoneis being charged.

6)You should not perform any other operation on the phone during the

upgrade process.

7)Anormal upgradeshould becompleted inminutes.If the phone does10

not rebootor show anyresponse inminutes,you shouldperform the10

upgrade processagain. If the phone cannot be started, perform a forced

upgrade. Ifthe forcedupgrade doesnot work,you shouldcontactan

after-sale service agentforsupport.

2.Upgrade Description

Therearetwo upgrade methods: normal upgrade andforced upgrade.

Ifthephone cannot bestartedproperly,forexample,the phone cannotbe

started,or the phonedoesnot enter standby state, performa forced upgrade.

If the phone can be started properly and themenu can beselected,Settings

perform a normalupgrade.
