APPLICATIONS
CONNECTIONS TO BE MADE
(to the aftermarket radio)
From the 16-pin harness:
• The Red wires will not be used in this application.
• The Orange/White wire will not be used in this application.
• Connect the wire to the left front positive speaker output.White
• Connect the wire to the left front negative speaker output.White/Black
• Connect the wire to the right front positive speaker output.Gray
• Connect the wire to the right front negative speaker output.Gray/Black
• Connect the wire to the radio’s left rear positive speaker output. Green
• Connect the wire to the radio’s left rear negative speaker output.Green/Black
• Connect the wire to the radio’s right rear positive speaker output.Purple
• Connect the wire to the radio’s right rear negative speaker output.Purple/Black
• Connect the wire to the radio’s amp turn on wire.Blue/White
• The Brown wire will not be used in this application.
• Connect the wire to the parking brake wire (if required).Light Green
• Connect the wire to the VSS or speed sense wire (if required).Blue/Pink
• Connect the wire to the reverse wire (if required). Green/Purple
From the 24-pin “T” harness:
• Connect the wire to the ground wire.Black
• Connect the wire to the ignition wire. Red
• Connect the Yellow wire to the radio’s 12-volt battery or memory wire.
Caution: Metra recommends disconnecting the negative battery terminal before
beginning any installation. All accessories, switches, and especially air bag indicator
lights must be plugged in before reconnecting the battery or cycling the ignition.
*Note: Refer also to the instructions included with the aftermarket radio.

AXTO-MZ1
INSTALLING THE AXTO-MZ1
• Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
• Cycle the key, by turning the ignition on for 30 seconds. Then off and on again to
test the radio.
TESTING THE AXTO-MZ1
1. Turn the radio on and check balance and fader controls for proper operation.
2. Start the vehicle and check all A/C operations.
Setting the OE clock using the service harness
1. Make sure the vehicle is in the off position.
2. Plug in the OEM radio and turn on the ignition.
3. Set the time.
4. Shut off the vehicle and unplug the factory radio.
5. Tuck the service harness back in the dash.
12-pin harness AXSWC
(if installing)
After the interface is initialized, plug in the AXSWC into the 12-pin harness of the AXTO-MZ1
and refer to the AXSWC instructions.

• Connect the wire to the illumination wire. If the radio has no illumination wire, Orange
tape off the wire.Orange
• Connect the wire to the radio’s antenna “turn on” wire.Blue
• Connect the wire to the radio’s amp “turn on” wire.Blue/White
Note: The white 24-pin connector is your service harness for setting the clock. Please run this
harness to a location where it can be easily accessed by and installer or customer.

Desde el arnés de 16 pins:
• Los cables no se utilizarán en esta aplicación.Rojo
• El cable no va a utilizar en esta aplicación.Anaranjado/Blanco
• Conecte el cable con la salida de la bocina positiva frontal izquierda.Blanco
• Conecte el cable con la salida de la bocina negativa frontal izquierda.Blanco/Negro
• Conecte el cable con la salida de la bocina positiva frontal derecha.Gris
• Conecte el cable con la salida de la bocina negativa frontal derecha.Gris/Negro
• Conecte el cable con la salida de la bocina positiva izquierda.Verde
• Conecte el cable con la salida de la bocina negativa izquierda.Verde/Negro
• Conecte el cable con la salida de la bocina positiva derecha.Púrpura
• Conecte el cable con la salida de la bocina negativa derecha.Púrpura/Negro
• Conecte el cable con el encendido del amplificador del radio en el cable.Azul/Blanco
• El cable de no será usado en esta aplicación.Marrón
• Conecte el cable con el cable del freno de mano (si es necesario). Verde Claro
• Conecte el cable con el cable VSS o de detección de velocidad (si es necesario).Azul/Rosa
• Conecte el cable Verde/Púrpura con el cable de la reversa (si es necesario).
Desde el 24-pin arnés “T”:
• Conecte el cable con el cable de puesta a tierra del radio.Negro
• Conecte el cable al cable de encendido.Rojo
• Conecte el cable con la batería de 12 voltios o el cable de memoria del radio.Amarillo
Precaución: Metra recomienda desconectar el terminal negativo de la batería antes de
comenzar cualquier instalación. Todos los accesorios, interruptores y, especialmente, las
luces indicadoras de airbag deben estar enchufados antes de volver a conectar la batería o
comenzar el ciclo de ignición.
Nota: Remítase a las instrucciones incluidas con el radio de postventa.
