IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS.

POLARIZED PLUG (120V MODELS ONLY)

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To

reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to ﬁt into a polarized

outlet only one way. If the plug does not ﬁt fully into the outlet, reverse the

plug. If it still does not ﬁt, contact a qualiﬁed electrician. Do not attempt to

modify the plug in any way.

TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW

Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to

prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of ﬁre or electric shock,

do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts

inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.

Note: If the power supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualiﬁed

personnel; in Latin America, by an authorized service center.

ELECTRICAL CORD

1. A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be

provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping

over a longer cord.

2. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and

may be used if care is exercised in their use.

3. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used,

a) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension

cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.

b) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a

grounding-type 3-wire cord.

c) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the

countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

Note: If the power supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualified

personnel or in Latin America by an authorized service center.

This product is for household use only.

GETTING STARTED

1. Be sure mixer is off (

°) and unplugged before inserting or removing

attachments.

•Toinsertwirebeaters:Match or hook with the collar near its stem end to the

illustration located near the opening ( ). Push in beater, A

rotating slightly if necessary, until it locks into place.

Insert other beater into the second hole, also rotating it

if necessary, until it locks into place.

2. Plug cord into an outlet.

3. Place ingredients to be mixed in a bowl. Holding the mixer

by the handle, insert beaters into center of food in bowl.

4. Use the mixing guide below to select the correct speed for the food you are mixing.

Generally, it is best to start on the lowest speed (#1), then increase speed with

beaters immersed in the food.

5. Guide beaters continuously through the mixture for

uniform mixing. If you’d like to scrape the sides or

bottom of bowl using a handheld utensil, be sure to

turn speed control switch off. Place mixer on heel rest

so that batter will drip back into bowl.

6. To remove beaters push beater eject button (B).

Caution: Be careful when ejecting the beaters since

they come out of the mixer quickly. You may want to eject them into

bowl or into a sink.

POWER BOOST

1. The POWER BOOST button, located below speed control switch, lets you

increase mixing speed to the maximum power level from any setting. When

you feel mixer slowing down or straining in tough mixing tasks (such as

mixing cookie dough), press POWER BOOST button.

Note: Do not operate POWER BOOST button for more than 2 minutes.

2. As soon as you release POWER BOOST button, mixer will return to your

original selected speed.

MIXING GUIDE

Use the following guide for speed selections.

Note: Start mixing at the lowest speed and gradually increase as needed.

SPEED FUNCTION USE

1 (Low) Stir To stir dry ingredients and liquids

together. To add chips, nuts, raisins to

cookie dough or cake mix.

2 (Low/Med) Combine To mix thin batters, such as waffles,

muffins, and quick breads; to prepare

puddings.

3 (Medium) Mix To cream butter and sugar; to beat

eggs into cookie doughs and batters; to

prepare cake mixes.

4 (Med/High) Blend To mix cake batters, frostings and candy.

5 (High) Beat To beat whole eggs, frozen desserts; to

mix light batters like popovers.

Power Boost Use at any speed setting to get maximum

power for tough mixing task

MIXING TIPS

1. For best results when beating egg whites, do not use an aluminum or

plastic bowl. Use a stainless steel, copper, or glass bowl. Beat at the

highest speed.

2. For best results when whipping cream, chill the cream, beaters, and bowl.

Start with the lowest setting and gradually increase to beat (# 5) as the

cream begins to thicken.

CARE AND CLEANING

This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified

service personnel.

CLEANING

1. Be sure speed control switch is in off position and cord is unplugged before

cleaning any part of mixer. Eject beaters, hooks or whisk attachments.

2. The beaters, hooks or whisk attachments may be washed in warm, sudsy

water or in a dishwasher. Dry all parts thoroughly before storing.

3. Clean the mixer, storage case or cord with a damp cloth. To remove

stubborn spots, wipe surfaces with a cloth dampened in sudsy water or

a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Follow with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use

abrasive cleaners on any part of mixer as they can damage the finish.

ENCHUFE POLARIZADO (SOLAMENTE PARA LOS MODELOS DE 120V)

Este aparato cuenta con un enchufe polarizado (un contacto es más ancho

que el otro). A ﬁn de reducir el riesgo de un choque eléctrico, este enchufe

encaja en un tomacorriente polarizada en un solo sentido. Si el enchufe no

entra en le tomacorriente, inviértalo y si aun así no encaja, consulte con un

CABLE ELÉCTRICO

1. El producto se debe de proporcionar con un cable eléctrico corto (o uno separable),

a ﬁn de reducir el riesgo de tropezar o de enredarse en un cable más largo.

2. Existen cables eléctricos más largos y separables o cables de extensión

que uno puede utilizar si toma el cuidado debido.

3. Si se utiliza un cable separable o de extensión,

a) El régimen nominal del cable separable o del cable de extensión

debe ser, como mínimo, igual al del régimen nominal del aparato.

b) Si el aparato es de conexión a tierra, el cable de extensión debe

ser un cable de tres alambres de conexión a tierra.

c) Uno debe de acomodar el cable más largo de manera que no

cuelgue del mostrador o de la mesa, para evitar que un niño tire del

mismo o que alguien se tropiece.

Nota: Si el cordón de alimentación es dañado, en América Latina debe

sustituirse por personal caliﬁcado o por el centro de servicio autorizado.

COMO USAR

Este aparato electrico es para uso domestico unicamente.

PRIMEROS PASOS

• Elimine todo el material de empaque y las etiquetas.

• Retire y conserve el material de lectura.

• Lave los batidores de alambre según las instrucciones

de CUIDADO y LIMPIEZA de este manual.

1. Asegúrese que la batidora esté apagada en la posición de

apagado (OFF y desconectada antes de instalar o retirar

los accesorios.

•Instalacióndelosbatidoresdealambreolosganchos

para masa: Introduzca el batidor de alambre o gancho

para masa según aparece en la ilustración ( ). Empuje A

y gire el batidor o gancho ligeramente en la batidora hasta quedar segura.

Repita el mismo proceso e instale el otro batidor o gancho en el segundo

oriﬁcio.

2. Enchufe la batidora a una toma de corriente.

3. Vierta los ingredientes que desea mezclar adentro de un recipiente. Sujete

la batidora por el mango y oriente los batidodes hacia el centro de la mezcla.

4. Utilice la guía de mezclar provista a ﬁn de escoger la velocidad apropiada

para los ingredientes que desea batir. Generalmente, resulta mejor iniciar el

mezclado a la velocidad baja (1) y luego se puede aumentar una vez que los

batidores están sumergidos en la mezcla.

5. Se recomienda guiar los batidores continuamente para lograr un mezclado

uniforme. La mezcla que se acumula en el fondo o en los costados

del recipiente se puede juntar con una espátula de mano. Para hacerlo,

asegúrese de apagar la batidora. Coloque la batidora

sobre el talón de descanso de manera que la mezcla

gotee adentro del recipiente.

6. Para retirar los batidodes presione el

botón de extraer (eject) los batidores (B).

Precaución: Se debe tener prudencia para extraer los

batidores ya que éstos se desprenden muy rápido.

Se recomienda extraer los batidodes adentro del

recipiente o en un fregadero.

BOTÓN IMPULSOR DE POTENCIA (POWER BOOST)

1. El botón de impulso situado debajo del control de velocidad, permite

aumentar la velocidad del mezclado al nivel más elevado desde cualquier

ajuste. Cuando la batidora comienza a funcionar más despacio o a

esforzarse debido al espesor de la mezcla (como la masa de las galletas),

se puede presionar el botón impulsor de potencia.

Nota: No haga funcionar el botón impulsor de potencia por más de 2,5

minutos a la vez.

2. La batidora reasume la velocidad preajustada en cuanto se suelta el botón

impulsor de potencia.

GUÍA DE MEZCLAR

Utilice la guía a continuación para seleccionar velocidades.

Nota: Inicie el mezclado a la velocidad más baja y gradualmente auméntela

conforme sea necesario

VELOCIDAD FUNCIÓN USO

1 (Baja) Remover Para remover ingredientes secos y

líquidos a la vez. Para agregar choco

lates, nueces o pasas a las mezclas de

las galletas o de los pasteles.

2 (Baja-Media Combinar Para las mezclas ralas como la de los

wafles, panes pequeños, panes rápidos

de preparar y los budines.

3 (Media) Unir Para cremar mantequilla y azúcar; batir

huevos en la masa de las galletas y otras

mezclas; para mezclar pasteles de caja.

4 (Media-Elevada Mezclar Para batir mezclas de pasteles,

merengues y dulces.

5 (Elevada) Batir Para batir huevos enteros, postres fríos;

mezclar ralas.

Botón Impulsor De Potencia Se puede utilizar a cualquier velocidad para

máxima potencia en las funciones pesadas.

CONSEJOS PARA MEZCLAR

1. Para lograr mejores resultados al batir las claras de huevo, utilice un recipiente de

acero inoxidable, de cobre o uno de vidrio. No se recomienda utilizar recipientes

de aluminio ni de plástico. Bata las claras a la velocidad más elevada (# 5).

2. Para batir crema, se recomienda enfriar primero la crema, el batidor de huevos

y el recipiente. Comience por batir la crema a la velocidad más baja y auméntela

gradualmente a la velocidad más elevada (#5) hasta que la crema espese.

CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA

La unidad no contiene piezas reparables por el consumidor. Para servicio,

acuda a personal de asistencia caliﬁcado.

1. Antes de limpiar la batidora o antes de lavar los accesorios, asegúrese de

ajustar el control de velocidad a la posición de apagado (off) y desconecte

el aparato del tomacorriente. Extraiga los batidores.

2. Los batidodes, los ganchos o el batidor de huevos se pueden lavar

con agua tibia enjabonada o en la máquina lavaplatos. Seque bien los

accesorios antes de almacenarlos.

3. Limpie la batidora y el cable con un paño humedecido. Para eliminar las

manchas persistentes de las superficies de la batidora utilice un paño

humedecido con agua enjabonada o con un limpiador no abrasivo. A fin

de evitar daños al acabado de la batidora y de los accesorios, no se debe

utilizar limpiadores abrasivos.

ALMACENAMIENTO

• Afindeprolongarlavidaútildelaparato,evitetirarelcableodañarlodela

unión con el enchufe.

• Paraalmacenarlabatidora,enrolleelcableyáteloconelsujetador

incluido. No enrolle el cable en torno al aparato.
