INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ICON RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
IMPORTANT: Follow all instructions carefully. Any modi-
fications of this product will void the warranty. Misuse of
this product may cause the user harm.
The Icon Rechargeable Battery is a power supply ideal
for recharging electronic devices such as headlamps,
cellphones, and GPS devices on the go. T he Icon
Rechargeable Battery can also be used as a power
supply for the Icon Headlamp (2017 and later model only
[#620629].)
BATTERY POWER:
When the headlamp is powered on, the battery meter on
the back will show for 3 seconds. When all 4 blue LEDs
are illuminated, the Icon Rechargeable Battery is fully
charged. Two blue LEDs indicate that it is half-charged.
The BPM will show the battery capacity remaining and
will illuminate when the light is turned on, if brightness is
adjusted, or if the charging port is utilized.
Your battery life will vary depending upon these factors:
• “Recovery time,” or time when lamp has not been on.
• Temperature.
• Modes used.
• Brightness level of the light.
ADDITIONAL LITHIUM-ION CHARGING
INFORMATION
• Charge the battery completely before initial use.
• Battery does not need to be fully discharged prior to
being recharged.
• Battery will automatically stop charging when fully
charged.
• It is OK to leave the “charge in” cable plugged into
the Icon Rechargeable Battery. It is possible to plug a
charge out cable into the USB port and charge out simul-
taneously, however the lithium-ion battery in the Icon
Rechargeable Battery will recharge partially before it will
allow power out to any devices.
Note: Do not plug the same cable into the “charge out”
and “charge in” USB ports on the Icon Rechargeable
Battery.
USE / MODES

Charge-In Mode: (Lithium Ion Battery) Open the
charging port cover and plug the micro USB cable into
the Icon Rechargeable Battery and the other end into any
powered USB port. A full charge may take up to 8 hours.
Charge-Out Mode: The standard USB port is used to
charge out. Connect the device to be charged to the USB
port or hold down the power button for two seconds. A
green indicator light will come on to show that the battery
is ready for charging out. If no device is connected after
1 minute, the Battery Meter LED will turn off and Charge-
Out Mode will be deactivated.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If the Icon Rechargeable Battery does not work:
• Charge the batteries completely
• Check that the USB cord is properly inserted

SPARE PARTS
There are no user replacement parts for this headlamp
other than the elastic headband and charge cord.
WARNINGS
• A responsible adult must supervise use by children
under the age of 12
• To reduce the risk of strangulation, do not place the
headlamp straps around your neck
• Inspect your headlamp for proper operation prior to
using and, for critical situations, carry a second light and
sufficient spare batteries
• Do not stare directly into the beam or shine it directly
into others’ eyes. Intense light can damage your eyes or
the eyes of those around you. Black Diamond Equipment
is not responsible for the consequences, whether direct,
indirect or accidental, or for any other type of damage
arising or resulting from the use of its products. You are
responsible for your actions and activities and for any
consequences that may result from them.
LIMITED WARRANTY
We warrant for one year from purchase date and only
to the original retail buyer (Buyer) that our products
(Products) are free from defects in material and workman-
ship. For lighting products, our warranty is for three years.
If Buyer discovers a covered defect, Buyer should return
the Product to the place of purchase. In the event that
this is not possible, return the Product to us at the address
provided. The Product will be repaired or replaced at our
discretion. That is the extent of our liability under this
Warranty and, upon expiration of the applicable warranty
period, all such liability shall terminate. We reserve the
right to require proof of purchase for all warranty claims.
Warranty Exclusions:
We do not warranty Products against normal wear and
tear (such as ski edge cuts and abrasions, outsole wear,
etc.), unauthorized modifications or alterations, improper
use, improper maintenance, accident, misuse, negli-
gence, damage, or if the Product is used for a purpose
for which it was not designed. This Warranty gives you
specific rights, and you may also have other rights which
vary from state to state. Except for expressly stated in
this Warranty, we shall not be liable for direct, indirect,
incidental, or other types of damages arising out of, or
resulting from the use of Product. This Warranty is in lieu
of all other warranties, express or implied, including, but
not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or
fitness for a particular purpose (some states do not allow
the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages or allow limitations on the duration of an implied
warranty, so the above exclusions may not apply to you).
This Black Diamond product meets the requirements
of the EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) Directive
2004/108/EC and the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU.

used in accordance with the instructions, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications. However,
there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation. If the product does cause harmful

Mode Mise en charge de la Icon Rechargeable

NOTICE D’UTILISATION
ICON RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
La Icon Rechargeable Battery est une source d’alimenta-
tion idéale pour recharger sur le terrain les appareils élec-
troniques tels que les lampes frontales, les téléphones
portables et les GPS. La Icon Rechargeable Battery peut
également être utilisé comme une source d’alimentation
pour la frontale Icon (2017 et modèle plus tard seulement
[# 620629].)
ALIMENTATION DE LA BATTERIE/DES PILES :

INFORMATION COMPLÉMENTAIRE
CONCERNANT LA CHARGE DE LA BATTERIE
LITHIUM-ION
• Charger entièrement la batterie avant la première util-
isation.
• La batterie ne doit pas nécessairement être complète-
ment déchargée pour pouvoir être rechargée.
• La charge de la batterie s’arrête automatiquement lor-
sque la batterie est complètement chargée.
• Vous pouvez laisser le câble de la batterie branché
dans la Icon Rechargeable Battery. Il est possible de
nu conforme aux limites définies pour un disposi-
tif numérique de Classe B, en accord avec la partie
15 de la Directive FCC. Ces limites sont conçues pour
fournir une protection suffisante contre des interférenc-
es nuisibles dans les installations résidentielles. Cet
équipement génère, utilise et peut émettre des ondes
radioélectriques et peut, s’il n’est pas utilisé conformé-
ment aux instructions, provoquer des interférences nuis-
ibles dans les communications radio. Cependant, il n’est
pas garanti qu’aucune interférence ne se produira dans
une installation particulière. Au cas où l’équipement
créerait une interférence nuisible avec une réception
radio, une télévision, un téléphone portable ou un DVA
(dispositif de recherche de victimes d’avalanche), ce qui

LIMITES DE GARANTIE
Nous garantissons pour une durée de un an à partir
de la date d’achat et seulement à l’Acheteur d’origine
(Acheteur) que nos produits (Produits) sont exempts de
défauts de matériau et de fabrication. Pour les lanternes,
notre garantie est de trois ans. Dans le cas où l’Acheteur
découvrirait un vice caché, l’Acheteur devra renvoyer le
Produit à l’adresse d’achat. Si cela n’est pas possible,
renvoyez-nous le Produit à l’adresse indiquée. Ce Produit
sera réparé ou échangé gratuitement. L’étendue de notre
responsabilité se limite à la présente Garantie et prend fin
au terme de la période de garantie applicable. Nous nous
réservons le droit d’exiger une preuve d’achat pour toutes
les demandes d’application de la Garantie.
Exclusions de garantie :
Sont exclus de cette Garantie l’usure normale du Produit
(rayure et abrasion des carres, usure des semelles, etc.),
les modifications ou les transformations non autorisées,
l’utilisation incorrecte, l’entretien inadéquat, les acci-
dents, l’emploi abusif, la négligence, les dommages, ou
l’utilisation du Produit à des fins pour lesquelles il n’a pas
été conçu. La présente Garantie vous confère des droits
spécifiques et ne fait pas obstacle à l’application de la
garantie légale prévue par le Code Civil. À l’exception
des clauses expressément décrites dans la présente
Garantie, nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas
de dommages directs, indirects, accessoires, ou autres
types de dommages découlant ou résultant de l’utilisa-
tion du Produit. La présente Garantie exclut toute autre
garantie, explicite ou implicite, notamment, mais non lim-
itativement, toute garantie de qualité marchande ou d’ad-
aptation à un usage particulier (certains États/juridictions
