Safety
•  This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above 
if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use 
of theappliance in asafe way and if they understand thehazards 
involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by 
children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. 
•  Keep theproduct and its mains lead out of reach of children 
under theage of 8.
•  Theproduct may be used by persons with reduced physical, 
sensory or mental capabilities or persons with alack of 
experience or knowledge which could jeopardize their safety, 
provided they have been instructed in thesafe operation of 
theproduct and understand thehazards involved. 
•  Never let children play with theproduct.
•  Warning - Do not open thecasing! Certain components within 
theproduct’s casing carry dangerous currents. Contact with 
these may give you anelectric shock.
•  Theproduct should only be repaired by qualified service 
technicians.
•  Disconnect themains lead after use. 
•  Never leave thehair straightener unattended when plugged into 
anelectrical socket.
 Warning! Never use theproduct while bathing,  
  showering or in such as way that it can fall down into  
  water or other liquid.
•  Do not touch thehair straightener without having first unplugged 
it if it has fallen into water.
•  Do not touch theproduct with moist hands.
•  Never allow children to use thehair straightener without  
adult supervision.
•  Never use theproduct if theplug, mains lead or other parts are 
damaged.
•  Do not use themains lead to carry theproduct.
•  Protect themains lead from hot or sharp objects.
•  The mains lead should be checked regularly. Never use the product 
if the mains lead or plug is damaged.
•  The mains lead must be changed if damaged. This is to prevent 
the risk of electric shock or fire and should only be carried out by 
the manufacturer, qualified service facility or qualified technician.
•  Thehair straightener is intended for indoor use only.
•  Do not use theproduct in environments with aerosol sprays, 
oxygen or other concentrated chemicals.
•  Thehair straightener’s ceramic plates become very hot, therefore 
use theiron carefully and with caution.
•  Do not use thehair straightener if you have sensitive hair or have 
adamaged scalp, if you are heat-sensitive or if you have wet hair.
Power plug and cord replacement
If the cord is damaged it must, for safety reasons, be replaced by an 
authorized repairer.
For non-rewireable plugs the fuse cover MUST be refitted when 
replacing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost then the plug must not be 
used until a replacement can be obtained. The correct fuse cover is 
identified by colour.
If a non-rewireable plug is cut off it must be DESTROYED 
IMMEDIATELY. An electric shock hazard may arise if an unwanted non-
rewireable plug is inadvertently inserted into a 13A socket outlet.
Product description
Hair straightener with ceramic plates and variable temperature control 
– heats in seconds. Sure-grip handles, 2-metre swivel lead – tangle-
free. 220–240 VAC/41 W.
Use
1.   Plug thehair straightener into anelectrical outlet (with dry hands).
2.   Turn thetemperature control to thedesired heat setting. Bear in 
mind that thick hair requires ahigher temperature than thin hair.
3.   Move thepower switch to the  position. Thered LED will now ON
come on. Hold thehair straightener or lay it on aheatproof surface 
until it is completely warm and ready for use. Thegreen LED will 
come on when it is ready for use. 
4.   Divide hair in sections and use hair clips to hold it separate. Thick or 
long hair may need to be ironed several times.
5.   Start at thetop of thehead and continue downward. Make sure that 
theceramic plates are in motion theentire time and that they don’t 
remain still in one place. Repeat until all hair is flattened.
6.   When you have finished, switch thestraightener off using thepower 
switch and unplug it.
7.   Let thehair straightener cool completely before it is put away  
for storage.
N.B. Thehair straightener may smoke alittle or emit aburning smell for 
ashort while thefirst time it is used. This is completely normal and will 
stop after 1 or 2 minutes.
We recommend that you use aheat protecting hair care product  
on your hair before you begin to use thehair straightener.
Warning 
•  Thehair straightener’s ceramic plates become very hot; therefore 
use theiron carefully and with caution.
•  Do not use thehair straightener if you have sensitive hair or have  
adamaged scalp, if you are heat-sensitive or if you have wet hair.
•  Thehair straightener is connected to theelectrical current even if 
it is shut off. Remember to pull out theplug after you have finished 
using it.
•  Do not use thehair straightener on artificial hair, wigs etc.  
Thehair can melt.
Care and maintenance
•  Store thehair straightener in thebox when it is not in use. Do not  
roll themains lead around thestraightener. Loop it gently instead. 
•  Let thestraightener cool completely before putting it into thebox.
•  Pull out theplug and let thehair straightener cool before cleaning.
•  Clean theceramic plates when you have used oils or other hair care 
products in your hair. Wipe thehair straightener using acleaning 
cloth lightly moistened with water. Make sure that thestraightener is 
completely dry before you begin to use it or before you put it back in 
thebox.
•  Never use strong detergents or solvents.
•  Never immerse thehair straightener in liquid.
•  Thehair straightener should only be repaired by qualified  
service personnel.

Follow local ordinances when disposing of this product. If you are unsure 
of how to dispose of this product, please contact your local authority.
