PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
The AMP-CH5 allows for an improvement in audio quality in vehicles equipped with data-bus controlled amplied
sound systems by upgrading to an aermarket mul-channel amplier while retaining the factory radio. The
AMP-CH5 provides balance, fader, bass, mid and treble frequency adjustments as well as a non-fading subwoofer
output for opmum sound staging.
NOTE:
AMP-CH5 Module AMP-CH5 Harness
OEM Amp Bypass Harness AMP-CH5 Encoder/Bass Knob
Audio from the factory backup sensors is not retained.
1. Carefully remove the trim bezel
around the radio and instrument
cluster. Use a plasc pry tool and go all
the way around the trim to pop up the
clips.
2. Remove the 4 screws holding
the screen.
3. Unplug the 52-pin connector
behind the screen.
6. Find a suitable locaon to mount
the aermarket amplier(s). You
will need to run the following to the
aermarket amplier:
1) Power wires from the baery
2) An amp turn-on wire and RCA
cables from the AMP-CH5 module.
3) Speaker wires from the OEM
amplier locaon. OEM amplier
locaon can vary by vehicle. On
sedans and trucks, it is usually
located on the le boom side of
the dashboard. On SUVs in the cargo
area. Make sure you have enough
length wires and RCA cables.
4. Plug the 52-pin connector to the
mang connector on the AMP-CH5
T-harness.
5. Plug the other end of the
AMP-CH5 T-harness to the OEM
screen.
7. On a 2017 Dodge Charger, the OEM
amplier is at the le boom side
of the dashboard. Remove the panel
above the pedals by removing the
panel clips.
8. Locate the OEM amplier and
unplug the connectors.
9. Connect the speakers wires from
the aermarket amplier to the Amp
Bypass harness included in the kit.
Mate the connectors into the OEM
amplier harness connectors.

10. Plug the RCAs to the AMP-CH5
module.
11. Plug the 20-pin AMP-CH5
T-harness connector and the RJ11
encoder/bass knob connector to
the AMP-CH5 module.
12. Complete the connecons on the
aermarket amplier and mount the
amplier.

14. Encoder/Bass Knob Funcons:
- Press to turn ON/OFF Loudness funcon
- Turn to adjust subwoofer level
- Press and hold to enter programming mode
