IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed. These instructions should be saved for future
reference:
• Read and familiarise yourself with all operating instructions before
using this fridge.
• Before plugging your unit into the mains, visually check that the unit is
intact and has not suered any transit damage.
• If this appliance is to replace an old refrigerator with a lock, please
remove the lock or door before disposal.
• Your old appliance may contain insulation, gases and refrigerant that
need to be disposed of correctly. Please ensure that the refrigerant
circuit is not damaged before the appliance is disposed of. If in any
doubt contact your local authority for advice.
• This appliance may contain the refrigerant isobutene (R600a). This is
a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility, however,
caution is required as isobutene is a ammable gas. It is essential that
refrigerant tubes are not damaged during transit or installation of the
appliance. In the event that the refrigerant circuit is damaged, avoid
naked ames and sources of ignition and ventilate the room in which
the appliance is situated.
• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit
• Following installation ensure the power cable is not trapped beneath
the appliance.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older than 8 and supervised
• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the de-
frosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
• This appliance is for household use only.

• Do not use electrical appliances inside the food
storage compartment of the appliance, unless they are of a type
recommended by the manufacturer.
• Keep all ventilation openings clear of obstruction.
• Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with
ammable propellants in this appliance.
• It is imperative to unplug the power cord after the appliance has been
used, before it is cleaned and whilst being repaired.
• Repairs to electrical appliances should only be performed by a
qualied electrician. Improper repairs may place user at serious risk
• Do not operate this appliance with a damaged plug or cord, after a
malfunction or after being dropped or damaged in any way.
• Regular, periodic checks should be carried out on the mains cable to
ensure no damage is evident. Should there be any signs of damage
the appliance should not be used.
• Do not allow the mains cable to hang over sharp edges or come in
contact with hot surfaces.
• Do not run the mains cable under carpets, rugs, etc.
