2.Select your operating system.Alist ofavailable utilities foryouroperating system appears.

3.Download and run eithertheDeviceDiscoveryUtilityDigiPortAuthority- Remoteor .

Iftheserial portsforyourproductwill bemanaged usingDigi’sRealPortsoftware, download theRealPortdriver.

Note ForMicrosoftWindowsoperatingsystems,unzip thedownload packageand run theexecutable.ForLinuxorUNIXoperatingsystems,followtheinstructionsin the

release notes.

3.Navigatetotheproductdocumentationand otheravailableresourcesasneeded.

4Connect to thenetwork

Note Thissectionrequires serialterminalsoftware, suchas Hyperterm or PuTTY.Downloadone oftheseprogramsifyoudonothave one installed.

ConfigureDigi ConnectSP

Use the DigiDiscovery UtilityDigiPort Authority -Remoteorto discoverdeviceson yournetworkandopen theweb interface.

1.In thelistof discovered devices, selecttheDigi ConnectSPdevice.

2.UsingtheDigi Discovery Utility orDigi PortAuthority, configuretheIPaddressifnecessary.

3.Open the DigiConnect SPwebinterface.In the Device Discovery Utility,click Open web interface. In Digi PortAuthority-Remote, clickDevice Configuration.

4.Aloginpromptfor the webinterface appears. Enterthe defaultusername andpassword:root dbpsand.Continueto section 5.

ConfigureDigi ConnectWi-SP

There are two methods toconfigure thenetwork connectiononaDigiConnect Wi-SP.Use the methodyouprefer.

Method 1: Use anaccesspoint preconfigured withthe default SSIDofCONNECTwithnoencryptionand let the DigiConnectWi-SP associate toit.

1.Once the device hasassociated,usethe DigiDiscovery UtilityDigiPortAuthority- Remoteortodiscover devices onyour network andopenthe webinterface.

2.In thelistof discovered devices, selecttheDigi ConnectWi-SPdevice.

3.UsingtheDigi Discovery Utility orDigi PortAuthority, configuretheIPaddressifnecessary.

4.Open the DigiConnect Wi-SP webinterface. In the Device Discovery Utility,click Open web interface. In Digi PortAuthority-Remote, clickDevice Configuration.

5.Aloginpromptfor the webinterface appears.Enterthe defaultusername andpassword:root dbpsand.Continueto section5.
