Pilot wire installations utilise a control wire linked between each heater, along which a low current signal is
passed to command the heater mode. Heaters can be configured in up to 4 separate zones and the controller used to
program different time schedules for each zone.
Within each zone, pilot wires on each heater are linked together in series. Up to 10 heaters per zone can be supported.
Although the control signal is low current (<100mA), the pilot wire is a 240V conductor, therefore it is essenal that a
suitable means of local isolaon is provided for the pilot wire.
Where pilot wires are installed separately from the heater final sub circuit, they should be protected, double insulated and
carry their own integral earth continuity conductor.
Installaons must be in accordance with the current IEE Wiring Regulaons.
Ancilliary appliances connected with Pilot Wire Interface Unit (The RXPFIF unit must be purchased seperately)
