Edimax's ES-5824P switch is a superb choice for boosng your medium to large network's performance and
eciency. The 24-port Fast Ethernet + Web Smart Switch with 2 Gigabit Combo Ports is designed to seriously PoE
strengthen the network connecon of your network environment. The 19" switch (including rack-mount
brackets) will t neatly into your exisng rack environment.
Complies with IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports
Edimax's ES-5824P features 24 IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet ( +) ports that supply up to 30 was of PoE
electricity per port. It can convert standard 100~240V/AC power into low-voltage DC that runs over exisng LAN
cables to supply power to IEEE 802.3at compliant network accessories. The Edimax ES-5824P features PoE+
device detecon to verify whether individual, connected devices are IEEE 802.3at compliant or not, so only data
will be sent via the LAN cable if the device is not a or PE device. Various products such as Access Points, PoE PoE
IP cameras or IP phones are easily connected to the switch, making it the perfect soluon when power outlets
are dicult to install or exisng power outlets are too far from devices.
No Special Networking Cable Required
Reduce your installaon me and cost by using a standard Cat-5 Ethernet cable to link between the Edimax ES-
5824P switch and powered devices (PD). The Ethernet cable will then transmit both data and power, so you
won't need all those extra power cables to your powered devices (PD).
Supports Smart Features
Edimax's ES-5824P Web Smart features put you in control of your network and oers extra protecon on the
network edge. It can be managed through a Web Browser and smart features include everything from simple
QoS/CoS applicaons and basic monitoring tools to improve network eciency, to a remote access password-
protected conguraon interface for the IT manager's mobility and IGMP snooping to reduce broadcast trac
from streaming and other bandwidth intensive IP applicaons. The ES-5824P also supports bandwidth control
and port based VLAN, so an administrator can set up VLANs to segregate trac, QoS to priorize mission-crical
data and link aggregaon to create fat trac pipelines.
Performance and Scalability
The ES-5824P is high performance architecture of switch that is capable to provide the non-blocking switch
fabric and wire-speed throughput, which greatly simplies the tasks of upgrading the LAN for catering to
increasing bandwidth demands.
There are two Gigabit Ethernet combo ports for uplink exibility, allowing copper or ber uplinks.
