Bluetooth Headset

Please read theentire instruction manual before using theproduct and then save
it for future reference. Wereserve theright for any errors in text or images and any
necessary changes made to technical data. Ifyou have any questions regarding
technical problems please contact our Customer Services.
Safety
• Check your local regulations regarding mobile phone use in combination
withdriving.
• Shut off both theheadset and mobile phone in areas where you are requested
to do so, such as hospitals, aircraft or explosive environments.
• Use only theincluded USB lead to charge theheadset.
• Do not let children play with theheadset.
Things to consider:
• Other wireless equipment using thesame frequency can reduce
thetransmission range.
• The range of all wireless equipment depends on thetype of obstacles located
between thetransmitter and thereceiver (e.g. aconcrete wall will interfere with
thesignal more than aplasterboard wall).
If you experience problems, try thefollowing:
• Turn off any other existing wireless equipment to check if this is thecause of
theproblem.
• Move any other existing wireless equipment. Shorten thedistance between
thesending and receiving devices and reduce thenumber of obstacles (walls,
furniture, etc.) between them.
Buttons and functions
Charging
Note: Theheadset cannot make or receive calls while it is being recharged.
1. Connect theincluded USB cable to theheadset and to asuitable USB
charger (e.g.computer or other mains charger).
2. The LED indicator shines red when charging is in progress.
3. Charging takes 1–2 hours, and when thebattery is fully charged theLED
indicator will shineblue.
4. If theLED indicator changes from blue to red during use, it means that
thebattery needs charging.
Operating instructions
Turning the headset on
Hold down [ ] for 3 seconds. Theheadset will beep, theLED indicator
will flash blue and theheadset will come on. TheLED indicator will flash quickly
2times every 4th second when theheadset ison.
Turning the headset off
Hold down [ ] for 5 seconds. Theheadset will beep, theLED indicator will
flash red and theheadset will switch off.
Connecting the headset to a mobile phone via Bluetooth (Pairing)
1. Check that theheadset is switched off.
2. Hold down [ for 5 seconds until theLED indicator flashes red/blue. ]
3. Activate Bluetooth on themobile phone that is to be paired with theheadset
and set it in search mode.
4. The Bluetooth speaker will appear as “H28S” on your mobile phone.
Selectthis as thedevice to be connected. Referto your mobile phone’s
instruction manual if you are unsure.
Note: Ifyou are prompted to enter aPIN code on your mobile phone, you
should enter (four noughts). Certain mobile phones may even require 0000
you to approve theconnection.
5. The LED indicator will flash quickly once every 4th second when theheadset
and mobile phone are paired.
6. The next time theheadset is switched on it will automatically connect to
themobile phone.
Connecting the headset to a second mobile phone via Bluetooth
The headset can be connected to 2 mobile phones at thesame time. Procedure:
1. Connect thefirst mobile phone to theheadset as described above.
2. Connect thesecond mobile phone in thesame way as thefirstone.
3. Turn theheadset off.
4. Switch theheadset on again but only hold down the[ ] button for
3 seconds so that theheadset comes on as normal without being in
theBluetooth mode.
Accepting an incoming call
• The headset emits anaudible signal if anincoming call is received, press
[ once to answer thecall. ]
• You can also answer thecall by pressing thecorresponding button on your
mobile phone.
Ending a call
• Press [ once to end acall. ]
• You can also end thecall by pressing thecorresponding button on your
mobile phone.
Transferring calls from the headset to a mobile phone
• Hold down [ ] for 2 seconds to transfer acall from theheadset to
amobile phone.
• Hold down [ ] for 2 seconds again to transfer thecall back to theheadset.
Redialling the last number called
Press [ twice in quick succession to redial thelast number called. ]
Rejecting calls
When an incoming call has been received, hold down [ ] for 2 seconds to
reject the call.
Voice dialling
Hold down [ for 3 seconds, say thename of theperson you wish tocall. ]
Note: Thefunction only works if your mobile phone supports voice dialling.
Care and maintenance
• Avoid exposing theheadset to moisture, damp, high temperatures and humidity.
• Clean theheadset using alightly moistened cloth. Onlyuse mild cleaning
agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
Troubleshooting guide
The LED indicator shines red
The headset needs charging. Connect theheadset to acomputer or other USB
charger. Referto the paragraph above.Charging
The headset cannot connect to the mobile phone
• Make sure that both theheadset and thephone are fully charged and try to
connect again later. Referto theConnecting theheadset to amobile phone
via Bluetooth paragraph above.
• Make sure that thedistance between units is no more than 10 metres and
that there are no electrical or other devices that might cause interference
between them.
• If none of theabove solutions help, refer to themobile phone’s operating
instructions.
