instrumentisequippedwith a flatsurface electrodepH (modelpH95)forreliabletestresults.

This tested calibrateddeviceisshippedfully and and,withproperuse,willprovideyearsof

differenceinacidity.

GettingStarted

 For                 new meters, remove the battery cap (1) at the top of the meter and install 2 batteries

observingcorrectpolarity.

 Remove                the cap from the bottom of the instrument (7) to expose the flat surface electrode and

referencejunction.

 Before      first use, rinse the electrode with clean     tap water and wipe dry.

 The           sponge should be kept moistened at all times to ensure accuracy.

ReplacingElectrodes

ThePH90is is isshippedwith a flatsurfacepHelectrodeattached(7).Electrodelife limited,and 

dependenton of(amongother factors) frequency useandcare.Iftheelectrodeneedstobe

replaced,followthese electrodes.stepsforremovingandconnecting ReplacementpH

electrodes(partnumberpH95) are available   from Extech Instruments.

1. the Unscrew electrodecollar(6)clockwise,andremoveitcompletely.

2. the the Pull pHelectrodemoduleoutfrom tester.

3. the Carefully,plug a newelectrodemoduleinto testersocket.

4. the Replaceandtighten electrodecollar to ensure a goodseal.

AutomaticElectrodeRecognition

Whenthe themeteris itpowered, recognizes typeofelectrodethatisconnectedanddisplays

the the theappropriateunitofmeasure.Attach electrodebeforepowering meter;neverpower

themeterwithoutanelectrodeattached.

PoweringtheMeter

The powerbatteries alreadyare installedinthe themeter.Press  button(3)topowerONorOFF.

The displayed status strength. The batteryindicatorletsthe theuserknow  ofthebattery  Auto

Poweroff feature off shutsthemeter automaticallyafter10minutesofinactivitytopreserve

batterylife.
