2 Safety
2.1 General safety instructions
– Only use the product in original status without unauthorised modifications.
– Only use the product if it is in perfect technical condition.
– Observe labelling on the product.
– Take into consideration the ambient conditions at the location of use.
– This product can generate high frequency malfunctions, which may make it
necessary to implement interference suppression measures in residential
areas.
– Prior to mounting, installation and maintenance work: Switch off power sup-
ply and secure it from being switched back on.
– Comply with the handling specifications for electrostatically sensitive devices.
2.2 Intended use
The control system is part of the balancer kit YHBP. It is used exclusively for con-
trolling and monitoring the pneumatic balancer.
2.3 Training of qualified personnel
Installation, commissioning, maintenance and disassembly should only be con-
ducted by qualified personnel. The specialized personnel must be familiar with
the installation and operation of electrical and pneumatic control systems.

6 Assembly
6.1 Mounting with screws
Additional measures may be required to comply with the IP degree of protection.
1. Remove plastic plugs from the drill holes.
2. Select screws according to the mounting situation.
6.2 Mounting with wall mounting brackets
The use of the wall mounting brackets has no influence on the IP degree of protec-
tion if properly mounted.
1. Remove plastic plugs from the drill holes.
2. Install the wall mounting bracket in accordance with the assembly instruc-
tions 1 Applicable documents.è
3. Select screws according to the mounting situation.
7 Installation
• Observe the notes and data from the circuit diagram

Connection of electrical lines
All necessary connecting cables from the control system to the supplied compon-
ents of the balancer kit YHBP are already pre-assembled at the factory.
1. Connect all lines as per circuit diagram 1 Applicable documents.è
2. When feeding in the supply voltage, pay attention to the on-site back-up fuse.
NOTICE!
Unauthorised Access to the Device Can Cause Damage or Malfunction.
• When connecting the device to a network, protect the network from unauthor-
ised access.
Standards for security in information technology can be used for network pro-
tection measures,e.g. IEC62443, ISO/IEC27001.
Connection of digital inputs and outputs
Up to 8 inputs and 8 outputs can be connected using pre-assembled cables

8 Commissioning
NOTICE!
Material damage due to incorrect or incomplete installation.
The following conditions must be fulfilled for commissioning:
• The system must be fully assembled.
• The electrical installation must be complete and checked.
• The pneumatic installation must be complete and checked.
9 Maintenance
A daily functional test is recommended for preventive maintenance.
• Carry out maintenance work on the installed individual components in accord-
ance with the relevant documentation 1 Applicable documents.è
10 Repair
In the event of repair, contact the Festo repair service www.festo.com.è
11 Modification
Conversions of the control system are not permitted.
12 Disposal
