The associated users can open the map to view the exact
location where the infant has been left unattended.
Then they can contact the other users to proceed with
the rescue of the infant that is unattended.
Note: If the APP and JANE GUARD cushion cannot connect,
an alert beep is sounded 3 times every 60 seconds to alert
the user there is no connection. Check the phone is ON,
Bluetooth is ON, it is NOT in Airplane mode and the App is
correctly installed.

The outer cushion cloth cover is water resistant, removable
and washable. Follow instructions on the inner label.
Open the zip, take out the inner part and store in a clean
and dry place. Then cover can be washed and dried.
Battery duration is estimated to be 2 years and will need
replacing when 4 consecutive beeps sound when an
infant is placed on the Baby car seat or Battery Low is
indicated on the App.
To change the battery, open the zip, take out the inner
part, open the black box and replace the battery.
Before using the device, make sure that is not damaged,
otherwise contact the dealer and do not use the device.
To prevent the risk of overheating, keep baby cushion
away from sources of heat.
Warranty
The product is guaranteed against any non conformity
defect within normal operational conditions of use, as
provided by the instructions for use. The warranty shall not
therefore apply in the case of damages caused by
improper use, wear or accidental damage events. (Note:
The battery is not included in the warranty as it is a
consumable and is to be replaced as required.)
For the duration of warranty on conformity defects please
refer to the specic provisions of national laws applicable
in the country of purchase, where provided.
General warnings
Do not leave any packaging materials (plastic bags,
cardboard boxes, etc.) that can be hazardous to the child.

ACCESSORY (OPTIONAL): ALARM GUARD
The intelligent cushion GUARD CUSHION has an accessory
product (sold separately) that can work in combination with
the mobile application, or even replace its use, called
GUARD ALARM, a key ring connected to the intelligent
cushion via bluetooth and also functions as an alarm for the
user.
Using ALARM GUARD WITHOUT APPLICATION: The
ALARM GUARD device will act as an alarm when the user
gets away from the vehicle and leaves the baby unatten-
ded in the child safety seat. The alarm can only be
stopped when the baby is removed from the car seat.
Use of GUARD ALARM WITH APPLICATION:
The product
is an alarm device that will sound in case the user leaves
the mobile phone in the vehicle with the unattended
baby in the safety seat. In this case, a visual and audio
alarm is activated on the device, and will only stop once
the baby has been removed from the seat. If it is not
removed, then will send a message to other users
associated with the GPS coordinates of the location where
the incident occurred.
Note: Unlike the GUARD ALARM accessory, the GUARD
CUSHION smart cushion works in the same way both by
communicating with the mobile application and by
connecting to the GUARD ALARM accessory.

The JANE GUARD smart seat pad keeps connected to the
APP and monitors the presence of the infant.
When the infant is taken from the baby car seat, the smart
pad will switch power o and will be power up again
when an infant is again placed on the baby car seat.
When the infant is abandoned in a vehicle and the
guardian walks away from the vehicle, after a distance of
10 to 15 meters, the guardian will receive an alarm message
on his phone, for example “ATTENTION! (NAME) HAS BEEN
ABANDONED”. The phone will emit an audio alarm sound,
vibrate and ash the camera led.
If the alarm is not resolved, after 30 seconds the APP will
send an alarm message to all the associated users for
example: “(NAME) WAS ABANDONED AT GPS 22.3213 N
113.9433 E”
Using the product
The main screen shows the status of the smart seat
cushion.
-If the infant is not on the JANE GUARD smart seat pad,
the infant picture is shown in black and white.
-When infant is on the smart seat pad, the infant picture
is showed in color. -Map showing the exact position
of the unattended infant that is
abandoned.

How to dispose of used electrical
and electronic equipment
1. If the product displays the symbol of the crossed out
rubbish bin, this means it is included in Directive
2002/96/EC.
2. All electrical and electronic equipment should be selec-
tively recycled. They should be disposed of at specic
collection points designated by the local authorities that
are dierent to the normal waste removal service.
-When the APP is launched the menu shown below will be
displayed.
(Note: on some Android phones it maybe necessary to turn
on the Auto start and Show on lock screen permissions.)

Product description
GUARD CUSHION is an universal smart cushion that can
be used with any baby car seat, designed to monitor the
presence of your infant on a baby car seat. The device via
an App, alerts if an infant has been abandoned in a
vehicle. An acoustic alarm will sound, a LED light will ash
and the phone will vibrate. This alarm will stay active until
the infant is removed from the baby seat.
If the “guardian / driver” does not remove the infant after
the alarm has been raised, a message with the exact GPS
coordinates where the infant is abandoned will be sent to
all contacts in a pre-programmed list of associated users
i.e. parents, grandparents or friends.

First step to use
GUARD CUSHION
Remove the smart Cushion
from the box and put it on
the baby car seat.
Feed the baby car seat belt
socket through the hole of
the smart pad and be sure
that the JANÉ logo is facing
upwards as per Fig. 1.

-To register an infant press the + icon as shown below. Note up
to 4 infants can be registered and monitored by phone App.
-Insert the Infants name, then press
the infant icon to place a photo of
the infant.
-A photo can be taken of infant or a
photo from your gallery can be
selected.
-The infants photo and name are
displayed.
-To connect App to the JANE GUARD
SMART CUSHION.
Press on the JANE Logo on the smart
cushion as shown below and wait for
single beep to sound.
-Keeping the cushion pressed down,
after the beep. Press the connect bar as
shown below. The cushion connect to
the App.
-Once connected to the App and paired
to the cushion, it will sound once more.
-The infant’s photo and name will be
displayed along with a battery charge
level indicator of the connected cushion.
The battery charge indicator will change
color as battery charge lowers. When the
battery is critically low this icon will
become red. Whenever the sounder
sounds 4 times, it is an indication that
the battery needs replacing.
To complete the APP setup, press the
Settings icon on top right corner here it
is possible to enable the vibration, the
intermittent ashing light and to select a
preferred alarm tone.

Product registration and setup
-Download the JANE GUARD APP available on both IOS and
Android via their APP stores. OR it can be downloaded by
scanning the QR code below:
To add associated alert users
Once smart cushion is connected to
the App the master user presses
CONNECT as shown below.
Both the main and associated user must scan each other’s
unique QR CODE. Press the ”SHOW MY QR CODE” bar and the
device’s unique QR Code will be displayed. Then the other user
has to press the “SCAN USER QR CODE” bar then their App is
synchronized with the other users App allowing the
associated users to receive an alarm alert notication message
with GPS coordinates when the infant has been abandoned.
The names of users will be displayed in the associated users
list.
