Precautions
Location
Using the unit in the following locations can result in a malfunction.
• In direct sunlight.
• Locations of extreme temperature or humidity.
• Excessively dusty or dirty locations.
• Locations of excessive vibration.
• Close to magnetic elds.
Power supply
Be sure to turn the power switch to OFF when the unit is not in use. 
Remove the battery in order to prevent it from leaking when the unit is 
not in use for extended periods.
Interference with other electrical devices
Radios  and  televisions  placed  nearby  may  experience  reception 
interference. Operate this unit at a suitable distance from radios and 
televisions.
Handling
To  avoid  breakage,  do  not apply  excessive force  to  the  switches  or 
controls.
Care
If the exterior becomes dirty, wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use 
liquid cleaners such as benzene or thinner, or cleaning compounds or 
ammable polishes.

Setting the beat and rhythm
1.  Press  the MODE  buon  to  display  the  Beat  or  Rhythm seing 
screens.
2.  Use the jog switch to set the beat and rhythm.

Attaching the device
Toaachthedevicetoyourear,
open the ear clip, place the round 
partnearthehollowpartofyour
ear around the earhole, and then 
close the ear clip. 
  the  round  part  can  rotate  a 
maximum of 220 degrees. It will 
break if you  aempt to rotate it 
fartherthan this.
  As this a small and lightweight 
device, there  is  a  risk  that  small 
children may place it in their mouth 
and ingest it. Keep the device out of 
reach and store it away from small 
children.
Inserting the battery 
  When inserting or replacing the baery, turn o the device’s power. 
  Make sure to observe the correct polarity.
Turning on the power
1.  -To turn on the power, hold down the Power buon until the  dis
play lights. 
2.  To turn o the power, hold down the Power buon until the display 
goes dark. 
  The display will blink if the baery has worn down. When this happens, 
replace the baery as soon as possible.
Using this device
Press the MODE button to switch between the setting screens for
Tempo ( ), Beat ( ), Rhythm  ( ), and Volume  ( ) in that 
order.
Setting the tempo
1.  Press the MODE buon to  display the Tempo seing screen,  and 
use the jog switch to set the tempo from 
q
= 30 to 252 (BPM). Slide 
and hold the jog switch to make the tempo continue to change. 
Setting the volume
1.  Press the MODE buon to display the Volume seing screen, and 
use the jog switch to set the volume to   (Volume: Low) or 
(Volume: High). 
  This device’s volume has been set to be a lile loud, since it may be used 
when practicing musical instruments.If the device seems too loud, fasten it 
to your ear at a position slightly away from the earhole. 
  To protect your hearing, avoid using this device for long periods of time.
