safetyreversing sensor.

TopreventSERIOUSINJURYorDEATHfromclosing garagedoor:

•Correctlyconnectand align thesafetyreversing sensor.Thisrequired safety

deviceMUSTNOT bedisabled.

•Install thesafetyreversing sensorsobeam isNOHIGHERthan 6"(15 cm)

abovegarage floor.

INSTALL THE SAFETY REVERSING SENSORS

Disconnectpowertothe garage dooropenerbeforeyou begin.

The safetyreversing sensorsaredesignedtoclip onto thedoortrackwith theprovided

sensorbrackets.Ifthedoortrackwill notsupportthesensorbracketawall installation is

recommended.The sensorbeam should be NOHIGHERthan 6"(15 cm)abovethefloor.

DOOR TRACKINSTALLATION

1.Slide the curvedarms ofthe sensor bracket aroundthe edgeofthe doortrack.

Snap into placesothatthesensorbracketisflush againstthetrack.

2.Slide the hex screwthroughthesensor.

3.Attach thesensortothe bracketwith thewing nut. Makesurethelensisnot

obstructed bythebracket.

Repeatthesteps with theothersensoron theoppositedoortrack.Both lensesmust

faceeach other.

WALL OPTION

Make sure thebrackets oneachsideare clearofthedoor track andhave the same

amount ofclearancesothesensorswill align correctly.Ifadditionalclearanceisneeded,

useextension brackets041A5281-1 (not provided)orwood blocks.

1.Attach thesensorbracketagainst thewall with two lagscrews(not provided).

2.Slide the hex screwthroughthesensor.

3.Attach thesensortothe bracketwith thewing nut. Makesurethelensisnot

obstructed bythebracket.

Repeat the stepswiththeothersensor onthe opposite side ofthegarage door. Both

lensesmust faceeach other.

1.Measure the positionofbothsensor brackets sothey willbe the samedistance

from thewallandunobstructed.

2.Attachthe brackettothefloorwithconcrete anchors (notprovided).

3.Slide the hex screwthroughthesensor.

4.Attach thesensortothe bracketwith thewing nut. Makesurethelensisnot

obstructed bythebracket.

Repeat the stepswiththeothersensor onthe opposite side ofthegarage door. Both

lensesmust faceeach other.
