Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the LINDY RS232 Extender over
Cat.5, which extends control of any RS232 protocol device up
to 2000 metres. It provides full duplex transmission with no
need for any complicated set-up procedures.

up to 2000 metres
• Connect via a single Cat.5 or higher cable (not included)
• Supports data transfer rates up to 921.6kbps (up to 700m),
230kbps (up to 1700m) and 115kbps (up to 2000m)
• Supports +/-15kV (air) & +/- 8kV (contact) ESD protection
• Supports 40A (5/50ns) & Peak Pulse Power 250W

Installation
Connect your computer to the transmitter of the LINDY RS232
Extender by use of a standard D9 female to male serial cable.
Then connect the transmitter with the receiver by use of a Cat.5
(or higher) cable at a maximum length of 2000m. Now connect
the receiver with the RS232 device by use of a D9 female to
male serial cable. Finally connect the supplied power adapters
to the transmitter and receiver.

mit dem Sie den Steuerbereich eines beliebigen RS232-
Protokollgerätes auf eine Entfernung bis zu 2000m erweitern
können. Er liefert volle Duplexübertragung ohne komplizierte
Setup-Verfahren.

Installation
Verbinden Sie Ihren Computer mit dem Transmitter/Sender
des LINDY RS232 Extenders. Verwenden Sie dazu ein
serielles Kabel (D9 Buchse an Stecker). Anschließend
verbinden Sie den Transmitter mit dem Receiver. Verwenden
Sie dazu ein max. 2000m langes Cat.5 (oder höher) Kabel.
Nun schließen Sie ein RS232-Gerät mittels seriellem Kabel
(D9 Stecker an Buchse) am Receiver an. Zum Schluss
schließen Sie die Netzteile am Transmitter und Receiver an.
