Unclip center console trim panel
around shifter including a/c controls.
Unplug and remove center console
trim panel. (
Figure B)
Disconnect the negative battery ter-
minal to prevent an accidental short
circuit.

Unlock the collar bellow shifter knob
by turning collar counter clockwise
and slide collar down. Using a small
screwdriver or hook tool remove the
spring clip to release and remove the
shifter knob. (
Figure A)

Remove (2) Phillips screws facing
upward on bottom of trim panel sur-
rounding the radio including the a/c
vents.
