100 V Audio Transformer
These instructions are intended for in-
stallers with sufficient knowledge of
100 V technology for PA applications.
Please read the instructions carefully
prior to installation and keep them for
later reference.
1 Applications
This audio transformer is especially de-
signed for applications in PA systems op-
erating with 100 V technology. Via this
transformer, a 4 Ω speaker can be con-
nected to the 100 V line of the system.
2 Safety Notes
The transformer corresponds to all rele-
vant directives of the EU and is therefore
marked with .
• The transformer is only suitable for in-
door use. Protect it against humidity
and heat (admissible ambient temper-
ature range 0 – 40 °C).
• For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth,
never use chemicals or water.
• No guarantee claims for the trans-
former or liability for any resulting
personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the transformer
is used for other purposes than orig-
inally intended, if it is not correctly
connected or if it is overloaded.
If the transformer is to be put out
of operation definitively, take it to a
recycling plant for a disposal which
is not harmful to the environment.
3 Electrical Connection
WARNING During operation, there is a
hazard of contact with a dan-
gerous voltage of up to 100 V
at the connection wires.
The connection must be made by skilled
personnel only. Always insulate the
connection wires not used.
Make sure that the amplifier is not
overloaded. The total power of all con-
nected speakers (transformers) must
not exceed the amplifier power.
1) If the PA system is switched on, switch
it off completely first!
2) Connect the 4 Ω speaker to the 2-pole
connection “C” (negative pole) and
“4 Ω” (positive pole). Connect the
transformer via the 5-pole connection
to the 100 V line of the PA system:
Connection “C” to the negative pole
and, according to the desired volume,
one of the coloured wires to the posi-
tive pole (see table).

100-V-Audiotransformator
Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Ins-
tallateure mit Fachkenntnissen in der
100-V-Beschallungstechnik. Bitte lesen
Sie die Anleitung vor der Installation
gründlich durch und heben Sie sie für ein
späteres Nachlesen auf.
1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Dieser Audiotransformator ist speziell
für den Einsatz in ELA-Anlagen konzi-
piert, die mit 100-V-Technik arbeiten.
Über ihn lässt sich ein 4-Ω- Lautsprecher
an die 100-V-Leitung der Anlage an-
schließen.
2 Wichtige Hinweise für den
sicheren Gebrauch
Der Transformator entspricht allen rele-
vanten Richtlinien der EU und trägt des-
halb das -Zeichen.
• Der Transformator ist nur zur Ver-
wendung im Innenbereich geeignet.
Schützen Sie ihn vor Feuchtigkeit und
Hitze (zulässiger Einsatztemperatur-
bereich 0 – 40 °C).
• Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur
ein trockenes, weiches Tuch, auf kei-
nen Fall Chemikalien oder Wasser.
• Wird der Transformator zweckent-
fremdet, falsch angeschlossen oder
überlastet, kann keine Haftung für
daraus resultierende Sach- oder Per-
sonenschäden und keine Garantie
für den Transformator übernommen
werden.
Soll der Transformator endgültig
aus dem Betrieb genommen wer-
den, übergeben Sie ihn zur um-
weltgerechten Entsorgung einem
örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Elektrischer Anschluss
WARNUNG Im Betrieb liegt berührungs-
gefährliche Spannung bis
100 V an den Anschluss-
drähten an.
Der Anschluss darf nur durch Fachper-
sonal erfolgen. Isolieren Sie unbedingt
die nicht benutzten Anschlussdrähte.
Achten Sie darauf, dass der Verstärker
nicht überlastet wird. Die Summe der
Leistungen aller angeschlossenen Laut-
sprecher (Transformatoren) darf die
Verstärkerleistung nicht überschreiten.
1) Falls die ELA-Anlage eingeschaltet ist,
diese zuerst komplett ausschalten!
2) Den 4-Ω-Lautsprecher mit dem 2-po-
ligen Anschluss „C“ (Minuspol) und
„4 Ω“ (Pluspol) verbinden. Den Trans-
formator über den 5-poligen Anschluss
mit der 100-V-Leitung der ELA- Anlage
verbinden: Anschluss „C“ an den
Minus pol und je nach gewünschter
Lautstärke einen der farbigen Drähte
an den Pluspol (siehe Tabelle).
